He Who Finds God Finds Life - Audio

Happy Resurrection (Easter) Sunday! What does Easter Sunday mean to you? Cadbury Bunny and eggs? Firing up the BBQ grill?...etc.? Did you know that there is a deeper meaning to Easter Sunday than this? In the event that you don't know the story, Easter Sunday (aka Resurrection Sunday) is the day that Jesus resurrected after being murdered on the cross. Resurrection Sunday is the day that represents "New Life" which Jesus offers. Living a life without Jesus eventually leads to spiritual death, but regardless of who you are, what you have been through, a relationship WITH Jesus gives you "New Life" eternal spiritual life with Jesus. Have you been born again? If not, what are you waiting for? Today is the day to start your relationship with Jesus. Upper Room Service - Audio

Today's teaching consists of what we refer to as the Upper Room After Glow with Pastor Ben. With this week being the week of Jesus' crucifixion, death, burial, and resurrection, our focus is to learn, understand, and feel what Jesus went through during this week, and what Jesus did for us on the Cross. One of the things that Jesus did to serve His disciples was washing their feet. As uncomfortable as this made them feel, Jesus helped them understand that this foot washing was a cleansing from the inside, more so than the outside. Jesus taught His disciples that He was to humble Himself and to serve them as well. What about you? Have you had your feet washed? Have you been cleansed from the inside out? What are you waiting for? This is the time to call upon Jesus, and ask Him to wash your feet. The World's Smallest Troublemaker - Audio

If you were asked the question, "Who is the world's smallest troublemaker?," what would you say? Would your response be something like, "my little brother," "my cat," or even "my 4'10" great aunt"? What if I told you that the world's smallest troublemaker lives within you? (You gasping..."Say what...?") In today's teaching, Pastor Ben describes the versatility of the tongue, in how it has the power to: 1. Direct 2. Destroy 3. Delight So how are you flexing your muscle? Are you allowing it to be the world's smallest trouble maker, or are you allowing it to share love with others and to glorify Jesus? God knows, as do the people who hear how you flex your tongue. The Glory Departs The Temple (Part 2) - Audio

Do you remember hearing the old announcement that went like this..."Elvis has left the building!" When Elvis' entourage would make this announcement, the audience would feel sad and disappointed because they knew that they now had no chance of meeting their favorite entertainer. Now, imagine what happens when God leaves because He is rejected by you, or you continue to surround yourself with the ways of the world (sin)? If you remember, where sin is present, Holy will not be present. And when God is not present there is nothing but darkness, a world full of brokenness and deceit. Without God's presence, people begin to feel lonely, heartbroken, lost, and vulnerable. Are allowing God to feel welcome in your life or are you slowly causing Him to depart because of your ways? Only you and God can truly answer that question. Continuing with our new series called 'The Ezekiel Overview' (A Study of the Book of Ezekiel), during tonight's teaching, Pastor Ben explains what happened when the Glory departs the temple. The Great Pretender - Audio

The title of today's teaching ("The Great Pretender") immediately reminds us of the Number 1 1955 hit by the Platters. But what Pastor Ben is really referring is to our study of the Book of James. James tells us how God looks deep into our hearts and KNOWS what we are, or rather, who we are. When we have faith, but not good works, are we living a life of saving faith? Find out what Pastor Ben has to say about it as he deciphers verses 14-26 of chapter 2 from the Book of James. We should be constantly changing and growing! Three Types of Faith that Pastor Ben talks about in today's teaching: 1. Dead faith 2. Demonic Faith 3. Dynamic Faith If you are interested in attending our live teachings (Wednesdays @ 7:00 pm & Sundays @ 10:00 am), please visit us at 4218 Boston Ave. Lubbock Texas. Can't Buy Me Love - Audio

I agree with Pastor Ben…when I first heard the title of today’s teaching (“Can’t Buy Me Love”), my mind immediately reverted back to the old song by the Beatles. I almost grabbed my guitar and… On a serious note, in today’s teaching, Pastor Ben reminds us that money has nothing to do with how much God loves us. Our financial or materialistic riches mean absolutely nothing to God. The only riches that God sees in us is in our faith to Him. When our relationship with Jesus is constant, God sees the richness of our hearts. The more that we communicate with Him through prayer, the stronger our relationship with Jesus is. That’s what will get us in to Heaven, despite how much or how little money we have. Each of us is blessed with something different than our brothers. Collectively, it takes the union of every one of us to become one. Together we can help inspire others and bring others to Jesus. Jesus will do the rest of the work from there. Money can’t buy Jesus’ Love, money can only help take the gospel to the world to help give everyone the chance to experience God’s Love. Loving everyone is not always easy. However, Pastor Ben gives us a few key points that will help aid us to love one another as Jesus would… 1. In light of others through Jesus 2. Treat one another in light of grace 3. Treat others in light of God's word 4. In light of God's judgement Reference scripture : Ecclesiasts 5:1-5 ; 1 Samuel 16:7 ; Matthew 7:2 If you are interested in attending our live teachings (Wednesdays @ 7:00 pm & Sundays @ 10:00 am), please visit us at 4218 Boston Ave. Lubbock Texas. Quit Kidding Yourself - Audio

Have you ever tried to convince yourself of something? Here's an example: Due to our occasional "stinking thinking", our mode of thinking might be a little on the negative side at times. The world around us tells us that if we turn to self-help books, videos, or teachings so that we can change our direction of thinking into the contrary. Although this might help a little, when we do this we are actually "kidding" (fooling) ourselves into something that is not definite. In today's teaching of our continuing series "Faith & Action" our study of the book of James, Pastor Ben teaches us about the importance of turning to God's Word (aka the Bible) so that we can get a true heart, mind, and spirit changing experience every time that we read it. With God's Word we are never kidding, fooling, or trying to convince ourselves of anything, rather we are allowing God to come into our hearts and change us for His purposes. The best self-help book available to all of us is God's Word. It's the only one that can truly read us as we read it. So, are you ready to quit kidding yourself? How To Handle Temptation - Audio

The Word of God is full of great examples of real-life temptations that people had to face in those days. Due to modern technology we are able to access anything (good or bad) from the tip of our fingers. It seems as if though temptation is everywhere we turn. So, let's face it...we've all been tempted in one way or another. The difference is all in how you handle these temptations. Are you the type of person that tries to handle temptations on your own? Maybe you find yourself reading books, seeking the advice of others, or listening to "experts" by way of videos, podcasts, etc. ...? Here's an idea...have you ever tried seeking the Word of God to see how Jesus resisted temptation? When we don't seek the Word of God, we have serious consequences that we have to face later on. Referencing the books of James and Genesis, in today's teaching, Pastor Ben gives us some great examples of the how temptation was handled while seeking the word of God and the results of not seeking God's Word. Pastor Ben also teaches us what we should do when we are presented with modern day temptations. *Here are three goals that the enemy has in mind in order to succeed at tempting you: 1. The enemy always questions God's Word. 2. The enemy Changes God's Word. 3. The enemy denies God's Word. *Here are three ways that we can resist temptation: 1. Consider God's Judgment 2. What Do I Pray For When... - Audio

How often do you pray? Do you find yourself praying when times are "not so good"? How about when you need for God to handle something for you? As we read through God's Word (aka the Bible) we learn that God specifically speaks about having a relationship with Him. As you know, all relationships are developed and made stronger through constant communication. A relationship with God is no exception. In today's teaching, Pastor Ben teaches us that prayer is the main form of communication between us and God. This is something that we should be doing everyday. Within this teaching, Pastor Ben also explains how praying isn't just about asking God to "do something for us", it can also be to just merely give thanks to God for every blessing that He blesses us with on daily basis. Our challenge to you: Can you count and list every blessing that God has given you? How many blessings have you been blessed with today? The Christmas Light Has Come - Audio

The reason for celebrating Christmas = Jesus. Light of the World = Jesus. Therefore, Christmas Light = Jesus. In today's teaching, Pastor Ben brings us a beautiful teaching to remind us what the real reason for Christmas is all about...to give each other the gift of the Love of Jesus. As the latest technological gadgets come and go, the Love of Jesus is here to stay forever. Which gift would you rather give/receive? Would you rather one that you'll end up throwing away in a couple of years (modern gadgets), OR One that will never go out of style, but instead, will last forever (the Love of Jesus)? Let the true Christmas Light (Jesus) shine upon you and everyone that you encounter. If you'd like to join us, please visit us at 4218 Boston Ave. Lubbock Texas.
