CHAD GRUNDY is the current Undertreasurer of the Carolina Conference, and he is a proud product of Seventh-day Adventist education. He attended Adventist schools from elementary to college, and graduated from Southern Adventist University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Chad was born in Taipei, Taiwan, and has lived in several foreign countries, including Thailand, Germany, and Japan. His brother, Marc, joined the family while they were living in California. It was in Japan that they lived on a naval base outside Yokohama, due to his dads work with the Department of Defense. This has given Chad a love for travel and visiting new places. He has presented international ShareHim evangelistic series in the Philippines and Mexico City, as well as two homeland evangelistic series in the Carolina Conference. Chads professional experience includes serving as an accountant at Highland Academy, as well as managing the Adventist Book Center in the Gulf States Conference. He also worked as an Assistant Treasurer for the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference before moving to the Carolina Conference in 2007 to serve as the Association Treasurer. Chad has been the Undertreasurer of the Carolina Conference since 2011. Chad has been married for over 25 years to Amy, a Registered Nurse, who was also his classmate in college. Together, they have three children: Ashley, who is an elementary teacher, and Allison and Chad Jr., who are currently students at Southern Adventist University. Aside from his work in finance, Chad also has a passion for technology and its potential use in ministry. He enjoys traveling to different churches within the Conference to speak and connect with the members, learning about their needs for support and growth.

DAVID WRIGHT is the lead pastor of the Hendersonville SDA Church as well as serve as the Adult Sabbath School Director for the conference. He received his DMin in Family Ministry from Andrews University. David and his wife Elizabeth have three children, Lauren, Matthew, and Maryanne and they enjoy traveling and outdoor adventures as a family. And the brother-in-law of Kameron Devasher. However, as he encountered Jesus Christ, Michael sought to overcome long-established patterns of addiction and drives through the power of Jesus love. Jennifer Jill Schwirzer, LPC, is an author, speaker, TV host, professional counselor, musician, wife, mother, lover of Jesus, and friend to many. Jennifer holds a Masters degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University and a Doctoral degree in Community Counseling from Liberty University. She has spoken all over the world, written 14 books, and hosted two TV programs. Jennifer is passionate about the fascinating intersection between theology and psychology and loves to communicate this message whenever and wherever she gets the chance.

Growing up during the early days of NASCAR, he spent much of his childhood playing around a racetrack with his cousin Dale, who had blue eyes and brown hair just like him, leading many people to believe they were brothers. Both families were involved in bootlegging and racing, but their destinies would take different paths. While Dale would become The Intimidator and a legendary figure in NASCAR with 76 wins in Victory Lane, Johns path would lead him to a different kind of glory. John loves sharing his journey as a Christian, family man, and pastor, a path that led him to the ultimate Victory Lane.


ERHARD GALLOS, an assistant professor of Religion at Andrews University, has been teaching courses on New Testament, Greek, Ethics, Hermeneutics, and Seventh-day Adventist Heritage and the Gift of Prophecy since 2008. He is an expert on the book of Hebrews and has authored the Teachers Edition of the Adult Sabbath School for 2022. Additionally, he has written a commentary on James and Jude for the Andrews Bible Commentary and is currently working on a commentary on the book of 1 Thessalonians for the Seventh-day Adventist International Commentary. Erhard enjoys spending time with his wife and twin daughters, who are pursuing PhDs in Math at Indiana University.

During this time, he discovered and developed a new paradigm emphasizing biblical stewardship from a discipleship perspective, which he shared with the world church. For thirteen years, Ben served as Lead Pastor of the Paradise, California Church until his retirement at the end of 2017. Ben is married to Mary Maxson, and they have two adult children and one grandchild. They now reside in Calhoun, GA.
