The story describes God at work implicitly. We get so excited when it is explicit action but mostly He works behind the scenes, but not really. Mostly, God works outside our perceptions and so we think behind the scenes, but really we need to adjust our vision to see Him. Joseph falls into the hands of an undajusted Judah and it is as if he is devoured by a beast. "Do you have ears to hear?" in the Biblical story line this asks the question do you bear Gods image? Yes, empirically you do, but has it been restored by the Christ. If yes be aware and listen.
