Have you thought of taking weight loss drugs? Seems as though everywhere you turn, people are jumping on the craze, but perhaps there’s another way to control our weight and health, and today we speak with our dear friend, chef and acclaimed author, Amy Riolo, along with her colleague, Dr. Simon Poole, MD, who collaborated on the “Diabetes for Dummies” series which also includes “Diabetes Meal Planning & Nutrition,” along with the “Diabetes Cookbook.” Amy has written 17 books that include healthy eating and how to incorporate the Mediterranean diet into our daily routines, and Dr. Poole talks about the many health benefits from introducing extra virgin olive oil into our diets. In fact, the two met at a convention speaking about olive oil and healthy living, and have made it their mission to talk and write about how we can all live healthier lives and even turn around type 2 diabetes if we incorporate certain foods into our diets and eliminate others that are essentially “poison” to our bodies. Our show will be simulcast on #DeborahKobyltLIVE, #LittleItalyPodcast, and also #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast, and we all know that #Italians are experts on the benefits of the Mediterranean diet. This is also something Amy has studied much of her life, as her mother was diabetic and she sought ways to help her mom with through food. And she’s been talking and writing about it ever since. Please find our show LIVE on all video and audio podcast platforms, and invite your friends and family to participate in this important conversation. Thank you for joining us. Deborah
Please welcome to our show, Bryan and Stephanie Mazzarello, creators of their brilliant short film, “Make Me Italian,” which follows the story of an Italian-American man attempting to prove his Italian citizenship through ancestry so he can attain an Italian passport. The story is loosely based on Bryan’s experience of getting his Italian passport, and it’s quite a story. We talk with Bryan about that, and also how he was motivated to do this after a backpacking trip through Europe landed on the very soil where his grandparents lived. Let’s just say he felt the calling. Stephanie was the creative director on the film, and this is so beautifully shot and choreographed, we discuss that with her as well. Please welcome to our show the mega-talented writer, producer, and director Andria Litto, who joins us to discuss her magnificent documentary, “My Father Moves Mountains,” about her dad, George Litto, who represented many of Hollywood’s top writers who were black-listed during the McCarthy era and beyond. This is a fascinating film, with detailed interviews from actors, writers, and agents, with film footage of a time in Hollywood when studios could crush the careers of actors and writers, but George Litto wasn’t afraid of them. Instead, he fought for the rights of people he thought were unfairly blacklisted, and ended up behind some of Hollywood’s most accomplished films from “Mash” and “Midnight Cowboy.” He later went on to produce films directed by Brian DePalma. And Andria, his daughter, had a front row seat to it all and joins us to talk about it. Please join our show on #DeborahKobyltLIVE, #LittleItalyPodcast, and #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast on all video and audio platforms. And invite your friends and family, too. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s a pleasure to have you join us.
Is there life after our time on Earth? It’s a question most of us have pondered, and today, I’d like to invite you to explore this topic with our guest, Mark Ireland, author, “The Persistence of the Soul: Mediums, Spirit Visitations, and Afterlife Communication.” In this book, Mark takes a deep dive into exploring, through personal accounts and scientific study, about the possibility of an afterlife and explores psychic/medium phenomena through the many lenses of various religious tradition. This book and study of what lies beyond “here,” is also personal to Mark, and we discuss that, too, along with providing guidelines for those trying to communicate with those who have departed. Skeptical? Listen to our interview and decide for yourself. Please join us on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt. Thanks for joining us.
It’s rare to go anywhere in Los Angeles and not see the serious implications of drug use, mental illness, and homelessness lining our streets and neighborhoods, and today we speak with Neil Gong, a sociologist and associate professor at UC San Diego, who has studied this phenomenon for years and explains why mental health treatment in LA often fails, what can be done to change that. Neil will also discuss his latest book, “Sons, Daughters, and Sidewalk Psychotics: Mental Illness and Homelessness in Los Angeles,” and the research he’s compiled regarding community care, successful treatments and recoveries, and he delves into the differences between the rich and poor when it comes to drug and mental health treatment. Finally, he talks about possible solutions to this growing and complicated social dilemma, and yes, it involves politics, too. Please join our show on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE, and invite your friends and colleagues, too. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and I’d like to thank you for joining us. * *
Honored to present my magnificent, talented, and beautiful guest today, Roslyn Kind, talking about her latest album, “The Look of Love/The Island.” This is an outstanding array of songs originally recorded by some of music’s greatest talents, presented by Roslyn, who says her mission is to uplift people with her music, and she does just that. In fact, when I listen to her, I get lost. Roslyn has been an actress, singer, songwriter and public figure since she was a young girl, having appeared in a variety of genres from Broadway to The Ed Sullivan Show, The Nanny (loved her on that), films such as “Switched at Birth,” and the list goes on. YES, her older sister is Barbra Streisand, and you can hear the similarities in Roslyn’s voice and see the resemblance in her face. Theresa much to talk about, including her sincere interest in LOVE and spreading that message through her work. Life is short, she says, why not spread love instead of hate. Why not? We’ll also talk about growing up in NY and her early influences and interests. I’m thrilled to be speaking with Roslyn, so thank you for joining us, and please share with your friends. DeborahKobyltLIVE can be found on YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and on all audio platforms. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt. Thank you for being here🩷
Entrepreneur Sigmar Berg was living the life, with a successful career and social life, only to wake up one day and decide he needed to change the direction he was headed and lead from the heart. So he made some big changes, and wrote about it in his book, “One Journey, The Lovetuner Book.” Sigmar starts by saying, “When I started this book, I was out on my ranch hugging a tree.” To be clear, this isn’t a woo-woo book, rather it’s a successful man’s journey into leading himself and others through the prism of love first. He talks about merging science with spirituality, reducing stress, relieving anxiety, and living in the present moment. He also created a meditwtive device called the lovetuner, which lets out a soothing sound to help with relaxation and breathing. And we’ll talk about that. Please join my interview with Sigmar on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and I’m happy to have you join us, from the heart❤️
When Dr. Esther Zeledon came to the United States with her parents from Nicaragua when she was a little girl, she aspired for the “American Dream,” or so she was told. But she nearly died as a child, bills mounted up for her family, and she quickly realized it wasn’t so easy on this side of the border to make ends meet. Years later, she was educated, got the big house and all they comes with it, and she realized, she was miserable. What happened to the American Dream she strived for? Well, she soon realized it wasn’t money or privilege that was the dream, but rather finding one self. So she set out on a journey to do just that, and writes about it in her book, “Creating Your Limitless Life.” And she shows us how each of us can find our hidden purpose, too. Please join our show today, on all video and audio platforms of DeborahKobyltLIVE, and invite your friends. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s a pleasure to have you with us.
Please welcome to our show my dear friend, Ann Potenza, who is bringing an exceptional play to life in Los Angeles for the upcoming Women’s History Month, called “The War of Roses - The Women. The Voices. The Vote.” This is an important play that talks about the women suffragettes, and the play follows some of the most memorable names who were at the forefront to getting women out to vote. In fact, “The War Of Roses,” making its debut the El Portal Theatre in No.Hollywood on 3-1 and 3/2, is also encouraging all participants to Get Out The Vote (GOTV) that evening. Ann is also a well-established Events Planner in Los Angeles, behind some of Hollywood’s most notorious events, starting with the San Gennaro festival she brought to LA a few years ago, along with her cousin, Jimmy Kimmel, exec producer Doug DeLuca, and other notable Italians. So we will also be talking with Ann about growing up Italian, some of her favorite traditions, hanging with Jimmy as kids, and where she sees the Italian community growing in the future. And it’s all Amore! Please join us on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE, #LittleItalyPodcast, and #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast on all video and audio platforms. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and I’m happy to have you here!
Every child, teen, or adult interacts with the world in their own unique way, yet we’ve gotten to the point in our society where labels are commonplace and often people spend years at the doctor’s office looking for a solution to have they navigate in the world. And that can lead to misdiagnosis, and pills prescribed by health care professionals before other methods are considered. Think ADHD. Please welcome to our show Sally Fryer Dietz, therapist and author, “Sensory Processing Solutions,” which talks about drug-free therapies to unlock your child’s protential. Sally writes from first-hand experience with her own son. She is not against drug therapies, but says there are ways to deal with processing issues that should be considered first, or in conjunction with prescribed drugs. And we will talk all about that. Please welcome Sally, and invite your friends to our interview on #DeborahKobyltLIVE on all video and audio platforms. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt.
It takes GUTS to be a 16-year-old waitress at Denny’s and decide at age 23 that you were going to own the place. And that’s just what Dawn Lafreeda did. Cut to a few decades later, and Dawn is now the largest female-owned restaurant franchisee in the U.S., with 80 Denny’s in her portfolio. But her road to success was not always paved with gold. Her early life was heart-wrenchingly difficult, but she decided to use that as fuel to become a success and earn enough money to control her life and destiny. And that’s exactly what she’s done. Dawn is also the exec producer of the much-acclaimed documentary, “Show Her The Money,” which highlights four female entrepeneurs and their journey to securing venture capital money for their projects. Women get just two percent of the billions of dollars in venture capital funding. Dawn is on a mission to change that. Please join our full interview on #DeborahKobyltLIVE on all video and audio platforms. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and I thank you for tuning in.
Sometimes, the stars fall in the right place, and our three guests are definitely using their platforms to do great things for women. Award-winning actress Sharon Gless (Cagney & Lacey); Dawn Lafreeda, largest female-owned restaurant franchisee in America (Denny’s); and Catherine Gray, author, TedX speaker, & host of the Invest in Her Podcast. What do they have in common? They’re Executive Producers of the much acclaimed film, “Show Her The Money,” which follows four visionary women in their quest to find venture capital to support their business ideas and turn them into reality. And where did they get the money from? Women. This film is knocking it out of the park at film festivals, getting up close and personal about the struggle for female entrepreneurs to secure venture capital. It also highlights women in finance with the muscle to turn these up and coming business gurus into billion-dollar empires. We will speak with Sharon about her incredibly trailblazing career, and how she’s immersed herself into the world of women in business. Dawn’s story is incredible, hosting at a Denny’s in SoCal at age 16, and by 23, borrowing enough money on her credit cards to become an owner. She is the founder and CEO of Den-Tex Central, and owns more than 80 Denny’s in the U.S. And Catherine Gray, well, she’s a connector, TedX speaker, author, podcast host, and has put her heart into making sure women get their fair share at the business table. Currently, women get just two-percent of the billions of dollars in venture capital every year. Please join us for this incredibly vibrant conversation, and invite your friends, too. Please join me in welcoming Dr. Malcolm Lesavoy, one of the premiere plastic surgeons in Beverly Hills, highly regarded around the world for his mindful work helping individuals look and feel their best. We will speak with the doctor about some of the most sought-after procedures, and how far plastics have come from the days of looking pulled too tightly to now looking refreshed. Dr. Lesavoy is the former chief of plastic surgery at UCLA, has been featured on Oprah, Discovery, and Extreme Makeover, and has authored three books on plastic surgery. He’s the gold standard, and he joins us to discuss the latest surgical techniques that include less down time, minimal scarring, and work so refined, that it no longer looks like a person had work done. He’s redefined the facelift, tummy tuck and so many other procedures, and he’ll guide us on questions to ask any surgeon before going under the knife, what to look for in a board-certified surgeon, and so many other critical questions patients should ask their doctors. Dr. Lesavoy also has an interesting personal story to share about his childhood in Allentown, Pa. In addition, we will ask him about his work treating children with life-threatening and disfiguring conditions. Throughout his career, he has focused on empathy in medicine, and after speaking with him, I can say this is true. And we need more compassion in medicine, don’t we? Please join us for this important conversation and invite anyone curious about plastic surgery. Our conversation can be seen and heard on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, thanks for joining us.

Do you dream in color, do you laugh in your dreams, dream about a former lover, or are you being chased? It’s your brain processing information and sorting things out, and today, we speak with an expert who shows us how understand our dreams and what they actually are trying to tell us. Please welcome to our show, Sunday Times best-selling author Theresa Cheung, who wrote, “The Dream Dictionary from A to Z,” which is like the bible on how to interpret your dreams, no matter how odd or strange. Your dreams are trying to tell you something, and this book will help you decipher what that might be. Please welcome to our show, someone I know well, award-winning radio talk host John Kobylt, who has been half of the longest running talk team in the history of radio, The John and Ken Show. Now, John is flying solo with the John Kobylt Show after Ken decided to step away from the daily news feed. John has been the center of some of the most sensational headlines in news, from being responsible for dethroning two governors, to the three-strikes law, there’s Scott Peterson, OJ Simpson, and dozens of stories they have single-handedly turned into headline news. And I’ve had a front row seat, meeting John the very month he started with Ken in Atlantic City, thinking he was part nuts and part genius. How did he get this way? And how did he become one of the most successful hosts in history of radio after starting in a small town in Pennsylvania, not making enough money to afford a phone or even an apartment. Those were crazy times, and I remember them fondly, watching John and Ken rise to fame in front of the Trenton, NJ state Capitol complaining about taxing toilet paper. There’s a lot to talk about here. And I’m thrilled to have John talk about his success, his philosophy, his Polish upbringing, and of course meeting me. Please join us on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE, and invite your friends, too. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt. Thanks for tuning in.
Libby DeLana has great hair. And she’s cool. The kind of cool so many women would love to have the balls to be, but she just is. And I’m thrilled to be interviewing this award winning ad executive, author, mega-walker, podcaster, and cold-exposure swimmer on my show today. Libby recently wrote about her walking experiences in her new book, “DO/WALK/ Navigate earth, mind and body. Step by step. It’s a journey about walking through nature, paying attention to every step, and eventually finding an inner peace and creativity that will guide us. And it does. We’ll talk to Libby about what drove her to walking, her high-powered advertising career, and this new journey she’s on, step by step, which includes cold- exposure swimming (not sure I could do this, but I’ll listen), sky jumping (yikes), activism, empowering and encouraging female leadership, and much more. She’s raised two awesome adult children, is single and loving the experience of where life will take her next. She also hosts the successful podcast, This Morning Walk, oh, and did I mention she’s a Clinique model? And she’s just starting, which gives inspiration to the rest of us, yes? Please join me in welcoming Libby to our show, #DeborahKobyltLIVE, on all video and audio platforms. And invite your friends to join our conversation, too. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s my pleasure to have you here. And a big shout out to my dear friend, Brian Martin, for this wonderful introduction.
She’s been on the air practically EVERY NIGHT in LA on Fox 11 News for more than 30 years, earning 16 Emmys and the respect and admiration from her peers, community leaders, and the public. Please welcome Christine Devine to our show today, and I’m honored to have her share HER story. And what a story it is! Christine grew up in Arizona and lived on a Navajo reservation where her mom was a teacher and dad was a principal. Earlier in her life, mom served in the Peace Corps, and that’s where this story begins, because Christine’s birth dad was from Brazil. Christine didn’t look like her mother, who was of German descent, and her dad, Jack Devine, adopted her was she was little. She grew up knowing she was adopted by her dad, but looking and feeling different, she wondered, “who am I?” Fast forward, and shortly before her mom passed away from cancer a few years ago, she opened the pages of social media and pointed, “that’s your father.” It’s been nearly seven years, and Christine found located him. But the rest of the story is for Christine to tell. I’ve been following her writings about finding dad on Christine’s social media, and I’ve been captivated, and absolutely riveted. The women who cares so deeply about the stories she covers, who is behind the success of the Wednesday’s Child adoption program, where nearly 500 children have been adopted since 1994, is finally finding her roots, and what she’s uncovered is astounding. We will also talk to Christine about her successful work in the news business, along with her love of fashion and music (her husband, Sean McNabb, is a successful musician). So much to talk about, and so excited to share Christine’s story with you. Please find our full interview on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE, and please invite your friends, too. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and it’s an honor to have you join us
Please welcome to our show Bob Gardner, author, “Built For Freedom: Adventures Through Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Addiction, Trauma, Pain, and Our Body’s Innate Ability to Leave Them All Behind.” Bob has what appears to be a blueprint on how to get out of negative thinking, and reframe how we think of ourselves. And his approach works, incorporating specific physical activity with mind-strengthening exercises. And in our interview, he shows us how. We will also speak with Bob on how to get through the holidays which can often be a trigger point for so many, but he’s got tips on how to manage all of that. And not a moment too soon! Please find our full interview with Bob on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE, and invite your friends to join the conversation, too. Please welcome to our show Susan Bartz Herrick, whose memoir, “Slow Dancing with the Devil: A Son’s Substance Use Disorder, A Mother’s Anguish,” follows the story of her only son, Luke, through his struggle with opioid addiction, recovery, sobriety, and untimely death. Susan is joined by Luke’s closest friend, actor Jacob Taylor, who is seeking to bring Luke’s story to life as a film. Jacob was recently in the movie, “Oppenheimer.” Speaking with Susan, I was taken how determined she is - even through her gut-wrenching grief - to to expose how so many continue to struggle with opioid addiction, how the medical community continues to prescribe the drug, and what can be done to keep the drugs from being overprescribed, and how best to help a person once they become addicted. And it’s very difficult. Please join our full interview on all video and audio platforms of #DeborahKobyltLIVE, and please invite anyone you know who can benefit from this conversation. Susan is a professor, and her book is well researched with documentation from authorities in the medical profession. We look forward to having you join us. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt.
We are pleased to welcome to our show, Raffaella Valentini, esteemed Consul General of Italy in Los Angeles. Raffaella has years of experience having worked in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, overseeing projects promoted by Italy in the Balkins, North Africa, and Middle East. She’s also worked at the Embassy’s economic office in Albania and Cairo before coming to Los Angeles. Raffaella has keen ideas on how she sees her position here, as it covers a large territory from California to Arizona, New Mexico and Nevada, and she wants to make sure to serve the various economic and cultural groups in each region. For example, Los Angeles is so vast, and she sees her job as serving the many Italians and Italian Americans from each area in a variety of capacities including science, technology, film, food, travel, and more. And as a woman in such high office, she also knows how important it is to set an example for other women looking to leave their mark in political office. We will talk with Raffaella about her role with the cultural institute, as well as delve into her early life. Did she always want to be a diplomat? Were her parents in public service? What is perhaps the greatest challenge she sees serving the Los Angeles community? What are her immediate goals here? And for those Americans asking, the Consulate can guide on how to apply for an Italian passport, but it is not necessarily their job. I can tell you Raffaella has already left her mark. She is poised and a sharp learner. Diplomatic and effective. But there’s lots of work she wants to get done, and we’ll talk to her about that, too. Please join me on my #LittleItalyPodcast, #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast, and #DeborahKobyltLIVE. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, a proud Italian-American whose family is from Avellino. Thank you for joining me, and please invite your friends as well.
It was an extraordinary day this week at Anaheim White House Restaurant, where Chef Bruno Serato opened his doors to raise money for his beloved Caterina’s Club so Bruno and his team can feed near 25,000 kids and families in need every month! That’s A LOT of Pasta! And we’ll find out just how much was raised at yesterday’s #PastaThon when we speak with him. Bruno has become a friend over the years, and many of us call him a saint. His generosity was inspired by his mom, Caterina, who gave him the inspiration to feed hungry children in nearby Anaheim. He took the challenge, and 13 years later, he’s been recognized by Time Magazine, CNN Heros, the Pope, and others around the globe. We will talk with Bruno about his humble beginnings before moving to the United States, where his restaurant quickly became a fixture in Southern California. But he’s faced plenty of tough times, like the evening his restaurant burned to the ground a few years ago, and his first thought was, “how will I feed the children.” He rebuilt, and came back stronger than ever. Please join me in welcoming Bruno to our #LittleItalyPodcast, #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast and #DeborahKobyltLIVE on all video and audio platforms.

Making end-of-life decisions can seem scary, and often patients and family members put it off - until it’s too late. And this includes passing with dignity, medical and emotional support for the patient and also family members. Dr. Bob Uslander spent over 25 years as an emergency medical physician, and he identified a need to help dying patients plan their transition peacefully so that they and their loved ones feel calm and supported. He and his wife, Elizabeth, a medical social worker and spiritual counselor, work together and formed Empowered Endings together. Please welcome Dr. and Mrs. Uslander to our program, who really got me thinking about this. We ask them the difference between what they do and hospice, we also discuss medically-induced end-of-life options, and other concerns. We talk about the health care system, and how they want to get more specialists from the medical field involved in this critically important phase in a patient’s life. Our interview on #DeborahKobyltLIVE can be found on all video and audio platforms. Please join us today, and share with your friends, too. This is something we all need to know and think about. Thanks for tuning in. #DeborahZaraKobylt
Rick Caruso has become a household name, known as a mega-successful real-estate developer, philanthropist, and LA mayoral candidate, but I know him as the family man who has Sunday dinners with his family, no matter what’s going on. And he credits much of that to his strong Italian roots. Please join me in welcoming Rick to our show, where we’ll talk about some little-known facts about the man behind some of THE most successful retail shopping centers in the country. Did you know #TheGroveLA attracts more visitors each year than Disneyland? What’s his secret sauce? We’ll talk about that. How did a man who started out in the parking lot business make the move into retail development? And how did his traditional, Italian upbringing play a part in it all, being the grandson of Italian immigrants from Calabria who made their way to the coal mines in Pennsylvania before moving to California? We talk about that, too. Rick says he learns as much from what does work from what doesn’t. And that’s a big part of his success. And philanthropy. Providing opportunities to others has been a big part of his DNA long before running for public office. He and his wife, Tina, impart that on their four children, too. It seems to drive him. Please join our full interview with #RickCaruso on #DeborahKobyltLIVE, #LittleItalyPodcast, & #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt. Thanks for joining our show (for which I was just nominated Journalist of the Year). Please invite your friends to our conversation with Rick, which can be found on YouTube, Facebook, and all audio platforms including iHeart and Apple Podcasts.

#Monica is a film worthy of an Oscar nomination, and I recently interviewed Eleonora Granata-Jenkinson, producer, and Andrea Pallaoro, director, about the making of this this beautiful movie. Monica is played Trace Lysette and Patricia Clarkson stars as her mother. The film is about a trans woman who was driven out of her home decades earlier because her family would not accept her life choice. But Monica returns to care for her ailing mother, and the humanity and emotions that evolve throughout this film are nothing short of extraordinary. Here’s a clip from our interview with Eleonora and Andrea, representing Italian-American filmmaking at its finest. They talk about making this movie, and the choices made to depict the story with such beauty. Monica is also getting Oscar nods, and the team will be fundraising to raise money for an Oscar campaign, and we also talked about that during our interview. Please find our full conversation with Eleonora and Andrea on all video and audio platforms of #LittleItalyPodcast, #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast, and #DeborahKobyltLIVE, and invite your friends, too. Today we celebrate Italian food and excellence in art. Please welcome to our show Evelyne Joan, owner of the infamous Mauro Cafe on Melrose, whose restaurant is as well known for its Italian cuisine as it is for supporting artists, which brings us to Lynne Deutch, also featured on our program. The exhibit was carefully executed by Italian artist and internationally acclaimed curator, Piero Addis, who will join us from Italy to discuss the exhibit and how he designed it to compliment the restaurant. We’re thrilled to be interviewing such a dynamic and talented team for our #LittleItalyPodcast, #LittleItalyPodcast, & #DeborahKobyltLIVE as part of our #ItalianHeritageMonth series of interviews. Please join us, invite your friends, and come see the show at Mauro’s, which runs through November. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and I’m happy to have you as part of our family
I’m thrilled to welcome our friend, Maestro #CarloPonti, joining us to discuss the opening of his Los Angeles Virtuosi Orchestra 2023/2024 Season this month. I’m passionate about music education, and Maestro Ponti has dedicated his time to raise money and awareness to bring music education to young people in schools through the work of his LAV Orchestra. All proceeds from the Los Angeles Virtuoso Orchestra funds musical education programs so young people have the opportunity to study music in schools throughout Los Angeles, regardless of economics. Of course, we will also talk about Mr. Ponti's early days, growing up with legendary mom, #SophiaLoren, his dad, film producer Carlo Ponti, Sr, and younger brother, Eduardo, also a filmmaker. Carlo tells us his home was filled with music and arts growing up. I can only imagine! The Los Angeles Virtuosi Orchestra premieres its upcoming season on Friday, October 20, at the Theater Raymond Kabbaz in West LA, one of my favorite theaters in the City of Angels. Carlo Ponti and the Orchestra look forward to sharing an exciting lineup of performances, featuring emerging young soloists who will make their debut with LAV's world-class musicians, LIVE. Please join us on all video and audio platforms of #LittleItalyPodcast, #LittleItalyOfLAPodcast, and #DeborahKobyltLIVE. I’m your host, #DeborahZaraKobylt, and I hope you invite your friends to listen to our interview AND attend the upcoming LAV performances with Maestro Carlo Ponti.
