Hame's new EP, "Almost Home," is a deeply personal exploration inspired by his life journey. After leaving home in 2008, Hame embarked on a search for purpose, navigating uncertain paths that often left him feeling lost. Music, however, remained a constant source of comfort. From childhood piano lessons to late-night sessions with Ableton, creating music became synonymous with finding a sense of belonging. The EP is a culmination of these experiences, with each track expressing a different facet of Hame's emotional landscape. Our premiere for today, the track "Wind" features warm, analog pads that build into a steady groove, carrying the listener on a wave of positive energy. Ethereal vocals and a beautiful sequence elevate the track further, creating a sense of hope and optimism. It's a reminder that even on a challenging journey, there's always a chance to find peace and a sense of renewal. The Berlin-based and Rødhåd-owned label WSNWG - Back to Zero releases its first-ever compilation, and it’s a selection of dancefloor-approved techno, the techno of the good, intense, “we like to lose our minds” - kind. Kameliia from Oslo contributes with “Above Me and You,” the alluring voices of a siren that compellingly suck the dancer into a different reality. And a fevery one that is. While the track adheres to rather classic techno structures, featuring a dreamy break at its core, it’s the entrancing vocals, the rhythmic -and heavily galloping- drive, and the siren ambience combined, that make a strong impact and let the heart rate go up. The internet loves a good music recommendation, and we couldn't agree more. We wouldn't have the constant stream of fresh music we share without people turning us on to new artists. It's a never-ending cycle of discovery. Today's premiere, "Freezing Point" by Warsaw producer bijū, exemplifies this perfectly. Step into cinematic electronica with Polycarp boss Simon Ferdinand's latest creation, the 'Six Months' EP. Born from a journey spanning Sicily, Baltimore, and Zanzibar, this musical odyssey encapsulates the essence of his travels and experiences. Today, we're excited to premiere 'Broken,' the lead track from the EP. 'Broken' sets the stage with its enigmatic fusion of hazy, glitched-out jazz loops, expertly obscured and processed throughout. Today is a special one in the Delayed world as we’re overjoyed to premiere a tune from the second release on our label, Never Late. The culmination of many months of work, the release day is rapidly approaching, and we could be none the happier. For our second musical guest, we look to Basel-based artist Mjulev and his intimate album titled ‘Clouds Are The Better Birds’. Spanning 8 tracks, Mjulev guides listeners gently into his auditory psyche as he states about the album, "Clouds are the better birds - It becomes clear only through observing the clouds how slowly they float up there, so detached from everything that drives us down here. Truly liberated from the forward push and the hustle and bustle, from left to right, from branch to branch, always on guard, not to be accidentally eaten by a cat. They just float, sometimes darker, sometimes lighter, sometimes faster, sometimes slower. When they meet, they merge and then continue floating as if they had always been one. Looking up feels so timeless. A longing that cannot be satisfied down here. It is omnipresent, but sometimes I manage, just for brief moments, but these are enough to understand what it would be like to be a cloud. The special thing about the album for me is that it was not created in situations where I was a bird. It was created in moments where I had the headspace to be a cloud, and if it helps others to be like a cloud even just for a short time, then it was worth it, because these moments have become very rare.” Our premiere, ‘Birds On Acid’ is the final track on the release, a rhythmic come-down that tugs at the heartstrings. On deck for today’s premiere is none other than Guido Camino aka Forest On Stasys and a tune from his forthcoming Neotrópico EP on Technologia Organica. Always close to our musical heart at Delayed, his music brings forward spiraling deep techno, and the best tribal infused rhythms. Coming in as B1, Autóctono is a groove filled tribal tune rife with that infectious energy that keeps dance floors moving. Bongos, and soaring pads take presence in the foreground, while the upbeat percussion bounces playfully along keeping things high. Celebrations are in store, as we’re overjoyed to see the lovely Argentinian label Danza Nativa hit its fifth birthday in stride. From the start, the imprint helmed by Alderaan, Forest On Stasys, and Kyntral has been a proverbial force to be reckoned with, providing many a favorite tune over the years. We’ve been following them closely, and have enjoyed the progression of sound, a progression which is evident in their seminal 5 Years of Danza Nativa compilation. Featuring contributions from Anthony Linell, Amandra, echologist, Plants Army Revovler, Polygonia, Dino Sabatin, Luigi Tozzi, Claudio PRC, Daniel[i], Vanoni, Shoal, Vera Logdanidi, as well as all three founders, the compilation packs an incredible punch and speaks volumes to how well respected the label has become over the years. Our premiere comes from fellow New York based artist, Brendon Moeller and his echologist moniker. The raucous Mobil comes charging out of the gate with an upbeat tempo and dubby pads, providing a dose of energy to pick listeners up. As the tune progresses, growling synths and a litany of percussion, and textures pop in and out of focus, providing a jazzy ensemble to keep things moving. Danza Nativa’s 5 year celebration compilation will be released both digitally and for the first time ever from the label on vinyl, the 15th of April. Fresh up on the docket this fine Wednesday morning is from the latest release on the supreme Qeone imprint. Helmed by Polygonia, as one of her many projects, she strives to release only quality and we are no strangers to supporting her endeavors. As part of the seventh release, she looks to Mexican producer Gerardo Torres aka MirrorLake and his club friendly Moa EP. Chock full to the gills with a swelling combination of dub and deep techno, the four tracker is another excellent addition to Qeone’s catalog. Flora Imaginaria leads off the Moa ep, setting a tone for what is to come later. Breakish percussion joined by dubby chords gives a backdrop to a delightfully dancey affair. Images of hazey clubs and nights out abound as MirrorLake’s swelling melodies ebb and flow. There must be something in the Barcelonian water, as today we’re happy to premiere a track from a recently developed anonymous project called Bastien. Formed as a new expression of music from the Spanish cities rich scene, the source unknown, yet the quality incredible as always. The 10 track release is a masterclass in rich, emotive Ambient that marks the second fantastic release on Spanish label ‘Red Edge’. With whom we’ve worked with in the past to premiere a prior Absis release. Relantir starts off strong with a bouncing melody, flipping up and down, giving movement and a lighter atmosphere joined by a few disembodied voices providing an otherworldly effect. This effect is amplified by a uniquely elongated bass line that takes a listener farther out into the experimental planes, and contrasts nicely with the bright melodies. ‘’Once upon an Icelandic Highway, my father and I embarked on an unforgettable journey. With a camera securely mounted to our jeep, we ventured out into the vast untouched wilderness to capture Iceland's other-worldly landscapes on film. The rhythmic hum of the tires against the road became our soundtrack as the terrain unfolded. Each twist and turn of the highway revealed breathtaking panoramas - from rugged mountains and cascading waterfalls to frozen glaciers and majestic fjords. On our return, I got to work editing a selection of the best footage. Later, I created a soundtrack that encapsulated the lunar-like surface of this incredible place and the repetitive rhythm of the car cruising along the road. In dedicating this release to my father, I pay homage to a man whose passion for the natural world was unparalleled. Down under we look today for our premiere on Melbourne based label, Aythekos. They’ve joined forces with Liam Costar, for a new long player titled, Pertinax (month 1). Rounding out the release are three remixes by LSS, Anthony Linell, and Claudio PRC. To Live, To Perish gets the Claudio PRC treatment as the Italian artist applies his signature spiraling take. Heavy, driving percussion keeps the energy high while the bass line worms its way in between, keeping the listener entranced. Saw like synths grind over the top, providing a nice range of movement so as to not let anything get too stale. Not that it could ever, Claudio’s remixes and originals rarely seem to drag on, we could listen to them for hours, and have! Ethereal inspirations are the name of today’s musical game as we look to Martin Respaut aka Foreign Material and his aptly titled, ‘Saturnian’ EP. Drawing inspiration from Saturnus, the god of time, transcendence and agriculture, Foreign Material has crafted a journey that moves seamlessly through the peaks and valleys of deep, hypnotic techno and beyond. On this EP, he’s also joined by Toffes Värld who provides a re-imagination of Saturnian Dub. Above Abysmal Rivers is the last but certainly not least track of the Saturnian EP. Coming in as the digital bonus, Foreign Material slows things down to a rhythmic 98 bpm, providing that chuggy low slung vibe that is all over our Delayed HQ. We were happy to cross paths at Mostra last year where she played an incredible live drone set, and even happier to showcase her talents through this mix series. The anticipation surrounding the forthcoming Mostra Festival is real, with only a few weeks remaining until music aficionados convene in the enchanting backdrop of Barcelona's Hangar and Castel De Montjuïc. In our ongoing collaboration with Mostra, we are thrilled to present the latest mix from an artist whose name resonates deeply within our community - Forest Drive West. Recorded live at last year's ExtraMostra event at Lolita, where Forest Drive West shared the stage with Ana Sola & Estrato Aurora (whose set we also had the pleasure of hosting) and Mostra's own Josh Hoppen, this set epitomizes the artist's mastery cultivated over the past decade. What unfolds in this recording is a pulsating amalgamation of tribal, bass, halftime, and techno, a signature style meticulously crafted by Forest Drive West ever since his debut EP, System in 2016. The auditory journey commences with an immediate liftoff, as infectious grooves propel the listener into an interstellar expedition akin to a spacecraft hurtling towards unexplored realms. Approximately 30 minutes into the set, Forest Drive West adeptly recalibrates the energy, initiating an exploration of novel, uncharted territories with a meticulously woven techno narrative. Far Out Radio Systems, the brainchild of Belgian producer Thomas Neyens is about to take you on a journey unlike any other. His upcoming album, "Mariana No Death," plunges you into the inky depths of the Mariana Trench, where solace and sonic exploration collide. This four-track sampler is your first taste of the album's immersive world. It features two album tracks and two exclusive cuts: the pulsating, analog beast "Raingods" and the hypnotic, slow-motion "The Oracle Emile" – perfect for late-night dives. However, our focus today is on "Inside The Horizon," the opening track of the sampler, and the grand finale of "Mariana No Death." True to Neyens' signature sound, it features warm, analog broken beats, ethereal vocals, and melancholic pads. From the inner forests of Jeju island come the latest musical explorations by Delayed favorite, Adhémar. The multi-talented French producer once again returns to Huinali for his latest album titled, The Birth of Mist. Today’s premiere lands squarely on the shoulders of Peter Kersten aka Lawrence. Our long-term love affair with his work hasn’t changed a bit through the years, as his music is always in the crates. Additionally to see his latest as a return to the legendary Smallville, only good things must await. In its entirety, the Gravity Hill EP encompasses all that we’ve come to love about Lawrences’ work, the wobbly bass lines, ethereal floaty moments, all wrapped in a minimal, pristine percussion package. The groove, the essence, leads to wonderful moments both on and off the dance floor. Subtly is the name of this game. Stargazer rounds out the EP which, as the label states, shifts back to a more straight, dance floor oriented feel via a twitchy acid bass, circling resonant synth licks, hypnotic textures and a swinging drum groove. Definitely one for those early morning vibes, as the sun rises on another day and the people party on. Melding house and tech flavours across Naarm’s clubscape is Spincycle, the infamous party run by Bex & Terri. Their inaugural release, ‘Wake Me Up’ joins forces of Crayon pioneer Mark Ambrose & Mieka du Franx. Built on Ambrose’s bouncy piano-organ stabs and shuffling drums, the programming is attuned by a restrained yet precise character. Chunky percussion, elevates the levels of deep house excellence, rocking like a hefty cradle imbuing an infectious groove. Mieka’s voice slices through, “wake me up” reminding us not to get too hypnotized. Listeners embracing each of these levels will have body and soul rewarded. Be careful as darting dancers will be bouncing off the wall with cheeky smiles when those chords hit speakers. A deep dive into the collaboration reveals the pair met at a gig in 2016. They connected over their passion of underground music before jumping in the studio. It makes one wonder, as it all gels so smoothly, if Mieka’s scintillating vocals or Ambrose’s playing came first. Either way, it gives reason to the alluring soothing effect of ‘Wake Me Up’. On the flipside is the Dreaming Dub which turns the original into a floating version with pulsating bassline. ‘Wake Me Up’ is out on February 22. Today’s premiere comes in the form of Parisian artist, Solma and their half time thriller, Apoapsis. Tolling like bells in the distance, the wobbling melodies are stretched and elongated to their max as frenetic hi hats and snares dance around, creating that ebb and flow so well known.
