Pastor Sergio brings us an incredible word about why we can't just acknowledge how we're saved by the blood of Jesus and ignore His flesh. Most Christians just want the blood, but not the 2nd part of the Passover which is to 'eat His flesh'. The way we eat His flesh is to read His word, to devour His word! We have to eat the 'whole lamb', the good parts and the bad parts. In our walk with Christ it's not always going to feel good. We cannot choose the world and Christ. In casual Christianity, we can't defeat the world, the world defeats us. God measures us by our obedience, He tells us to love Him with all our spirit and body and to love our neighbor in the same way. That's what loving God and lifting others is all about!

Pastor Sergio talks about Palm Sunday and how we need to make sure we're serving God's agenda and not our own. Palm Sunday was the day Israel gathered around Jesus because they were excited for Him to do what they wanted and now what God's will was, which was selfish. Jesus was on earth to fulfill God's agenda and Israel got mad and turned on Him and called for His crucifixion. God always has a greater perspective than us, we can't have a limited or selfish vision when we pray. When God says no to a prayer it's only because He's got something bigger and better for you. The one thing that fuels our prayers is obedience. We cannot be prideful, God works against pride. He gives us grace to the humble, which is empowering to us so we don't fall. God exists for us to do His will, not Him trying to do ours.

Pastor Sergio talks to us about how we have to have a strong spirit in order to get through all the adversities in our lives so we can serve God boldly how he tells us to. We have to feed our spirit everyday with prayer and with His Word in order for it to grow. We can't be concerned with how we feel we look to the world, we have to praise God every day, no matter if it looks foolish. God has chosen foolish things to overcome the world to change our lives. We can't praise God if we're prideful. Praise is: allowing our flesh to die and give God glory! It's our responsibility to build up our spirits. A strong spirit gives us the ability to hear from God!

Pastor Cruz Ramirez from Abundant Church in El Paso, Texas joins us for a powerful praise service! We have to give thanks and praise to God for everything He has given us breakthroughs with and how we have to remember all of these triumphs and continually thank Him so we can experience God's perfect peace during whatever pressures and trails we have in our lives!
Pastor Cruz Ramirez from Abundant Church in El Paso, Texas joins us and talks about how potentials and possibilities are defined and how God defines this for us in the Bible. Jesus knew He was created for one thing, He knew His one purpose was to bear witness to God's truth! We all have this same purpose to live out with God while we live our lives. God wants to bless us with all the dreams & desires within our hearts and for us to be successful, but we have to glorify God first and foremost while doing this so others can live within the same purpose. We're here not to live to the fullest of our potentials, but to live to the fullest of His purpose and give God glory. We must give praise to Him because we get to walk in His purpose!
Pastor Sergio tells us about the requirements to have a generous spirit. It doesn't take a lot to be generous, but we have to listen to God and how He tells us to utilize what He blesses us with. People of a different spirit are willing to do what God asks them to do. God loves to bless us when we are faithful and obedient. What kind of Father would God be if He didn't bless us when we are? Believe in God, have faith, then act when He blesses us and gives us wisdom!

Pastor Sergio continues this series talking to us about why we can't just be 'good Christians' or make Jesus our blue genie like in Aladdin. We cannot be feeble in our prayer life with God! Truth demands a response and that response is an amen. We have to learn we are sons and daughters of God. Life in this fallen world is difficult and most Christians aren't prepared for everything that happens in this world. We have to be prepared with the Word of God! It's time we start focusing more on our spirit, because life is coming for us. We can't be judgmental in our postures when we'r in prayer with Him or in church, we have to submit to Him because it's His time. His spirit always carries us to a greater blessing!

Pastor Sergio begins a new journey with us talking to us about what exactly praise is. Praise is a prerequisite for a different spirit, we have to know how to praise. We cannot praise God without action. A protocol in the Bible to get God's presence is to praise and it is an act of humility. Praise is a sacrifice of our dignity for God's glory. It's not for you, it's for Him! We have to want the promise God has for us and cannot settle in our wilderness seasons. We need to care more about what God thinks and not what people think. Praise is the time we give to God, He is worthy to be praised!

Pastor Sergio wraps up his Upgrade series and tells us about the emotional, physical, mental and relational aspects of how we can overcome an impoverished mindset. The emotional aspect of poverty is being able to choose and control emotional responses to negative situations without engaging in self-destructive behavior. The mental component of poverty is having the mental abilities and acquired skills to deal with daily life. We all have 3 voices within our internal dialogue: childhood, parenthood and adulthood. An adult voice is not an emotional voice and deals with facts. We have to listen to our adult voice and have it influenced by the voice of God. We have to value the relationships and role models God brings to us in our lives and be certain they are appropriate and won't engage in destructive behavior. The 2 ways out of poverty are relationships and education!

Pastor Sergio continues his Upgrade series talking to us about finances and how we need to renew our minds and change the ways we think in order to be able to handle the blessings God wants to give us. If you want more wealth, you must first be trustworthy with what you have. The tithe is about more than money, it's about our hearts. All God asks of us is we take care of His bride, the church, until He comes back. You can't upgrade if you don't trust God, especially with your money and your tithes. We have to show God we are trustworthy.

Pastor Sergio continues this sermon series talking to us about why we must get educated in life so we don't fall into impoverished ways. Education and relationships bring us out of a poverty mindset. God is going to change us through the people we meet, messages we hear and the books we read. The Kingdom of God is calling us higher so we can exercise God's dominion in the earth. We have to continually be renewed in our mindset by God and His Holy Spirit. We'll never learn what we don't value.

Pastor Sergio talks to us about if we're going to upgrade our lives, we must first pummel the spirit of poverty. Finances don't define poverty, thinking does. We have to change our thinking. We can only prosper to the level of our thinking. When we give our lives to God, we are supposed to be prospering. We're never going to change our ways of thinking unless we learn first. We cannot think we're more than we are, we have to have a posture of humility. If we're going to have a better life with God, we have to deal with our thinking. God is our guide to prosperity!

A.S.L./Deaf Pastor Jeff Jackson from Laurelglen Bible Church in Bakersfield, California brings us a powerful word from God about how we have to have three things as the highest priority in our hearts in order to be dedicated disciples: God, People & Service! He tells us about the importance each has to have in our life. Everything starts with God, we have to have a heart for people and we have to emulate Jesus's examples of servant-hood. The heart of God doesn't just happen on Sundays, it's everyday. We have to show love to one another through our relationship with God. We cannot borrow someone else's faith to get into Heaven. We must make our relationship with God the number one thing in our life and share God's love in relationships with others!

Pastor Sergio begins a new series telling us about how we're going to improve and upgrade our lives in the new year, but we can't settle and become content in our old setbacks. We have to quit marching around the same mountains. Kingdom maturity comes from Kingdom responsibility. We have to start making changes and leave our comfort zones. Nothing changes, if nothing changes. Growth doesn't happen in comfort. The great life God has promised for us is beyond the uncomfortable and we have to embrace it!

Pastor Sergio wraps up this series talking to us about the gift of church. We cannot associate with Jesus without associating with the church. If you love Jesus, you love His church. Jesus gathered 'the elected' for his church, the ones who gave their lives to Him. When Jesus wants to move, He does it in the church. Satan hates church, he tries to infiltrate and keep us away. The reason why church is important is because it is always about community. The greatest test if you love God is, can you love your community of leaders? You don't get to love Jesus and hate His wife(the church). You don't belong to God until you love His house.
Merry Christmas from Elevate Life Church Sacramento! Pastor Sergio continues his 'The Gift of God' series talking to us about how we can't allow ourselves to do like the world does and not give Jesus the 'room' He has to have in our lives in order for it to get better. Much like the innkeeper in the story of Jesus' birth that said there was no room at the inn and made Mary and Joseph stay in the 'barn' as Jesus was born, too often we push Jesus away in our lives and put Him in our own barn. We can't only pull Jesus out of our barns when we need something, we have to make Him the King of our lives. The life Jesus died to give us is a life of sonship, we have to submit to Him and his Word!

Pastor Sergio continues his 'The Gift Of God' series by talking to us about how if we want the new life God has promised for us, we have to lay down our old life. There's more to the Gospel than just believing Jesus died on the cross for our sins. We can't deceive ourselves thinking we obey God because we go to church every Sunday. What opens the doors to the devil's darkness is disobedience to God's Word. The Gospel will set us free so we can serve God's will.
