Did you know that there is a relationship between worrying and commitment, and it's very easy to understand those things that we are committed to, we tend to worry about. Now biblically speaking, worrying is not something we should do. Instead of worrying, we should trust God, rely upon him, and believe that if we are in his will doing his purposes, then the anointing of the Holy Spirit, and the provision of God will bring what God desires into fulfillment, we should never worry because worrying oftentimes is associated with doubting God and doubting God is not walking in faith. In Judaism, there is an expression called the dope toe vote, which means good personal characteristic traits. And that's what each of us are called to demonstrate. And those good personal characteristic traits are the traits that God Himself has. We are called to be like him to be imitators of the living God. There is a consistency with God. Meaning God never changes. Why does he change because he is perfect in every way. And that which is perfect endures. Not only is there a consistency with God, but there is a permanency with God. God is forever. The author of Psalm 119, was a very faithful man. And his faithfulness is displayed for us in this psalm, by his commitment and obedience to the Word of God, this one love the instructions of God, the law of God, the statutes of God, and the commandments of God. Recently, I was talking to a group of believers. And I asked them this question, what word would you use to describe our Lord and Savior, Messiah? Sure, that is Jesus Christ. And the word that I received was mild, that he was a mild man. And when I look at the passage that we're going to be studying today, I would not use the word mild to describe him. If you want to grow spiritually, and be a mature believer, then you have to have discernment. What does that mean? You must have the perspective of God. And that does not happen naturally. It is the outcome of the ministry of the Holy Spirit in the life of the believer, if we're going to be pleasing to God, if we're going to demonstrate wisdom, and do the things that are related to the purposes of God, we need to have discernment, we need to have God's perspective. are you more Kingdom minded or earthly minded? Now, as believers, our instinct is to want to say, of course, we're Kingdom minded people. But perhaps a much better indicator to give the right answer is not what we instinctively want to say. But when we look at how we handle our finances, meaning what is it that we do with our money, our financial actions speak much louder than our words in regard to whether we are truly Kingdom minded or earthly minded. We see that our God who is forever wise, is willing to share with us wisdom, a heavenly wisdom, in order that we can see things with discernment, and that we can make God pleasing decisions.
