CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of the Pikes Peak Region is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization serving El Paso County and Teller County that trains and supervises volunteers to represent the best interests of our most vulnerable citizens – victims of child abuse, neglect, and severe domestic conflict. Over 8,000 at-risk teens in the last twenty-two years have walked through the doors of the Municipal Courthouse on their way to Teen Court. Less than 7% of them return with a second offence. Restorative justice for teens is more than a slogan, it’s what they do. The Smokebrush Foundation for the Arts is partnering with Bristol Brewing Company to host an evening at Bristol Brewery on February 1st, to unveil the new Bristol Porter to benefit the Smokebrush Living Arts at SunMountain Center. The evening will include live music, dancing – and most important –the new Smokebrush Porter.
