On Palm Sunday, Melissa begins our Easter Series focusing on the events of Holy Week as described in the Gospel of Mark. In her message she challenges us on the value which we place on Jesus, and how that is reflected in our day to day lives and decisions. This Sunday, Pete continued our series in 1 Corinthians, reminding us to flee sexual immorality, and challenging us on what God truly designed sex to be. Today we continued our series on 1 Corinthians - United for Gospel Advance. Speaking from 1 Corinthians 6, Pete challenged us on how the church is counter cultural in its approach to disagreements amongst believers, and how we can show humility, and seek reconciliation above our own self interest. This Sunday as we continue our series in 1 Corinthians, Pete encouraged us to pursue wisdom from the Spirit, and challenged us that although the wisdom of God is countercultural, it brings true freedom. This morning Andrew Haslam joined us from Grace Church Waterloo to share with us a message on Jesus feeding of the five thousand as recounted in the gospel of Mark. He encouraged us that it is right to seek rest and time with Jesus, and also challenged us that we might be those who have compassion on others even when we are tired or depleted.
