Understanding this truth about emotions alleviates the need for our emotions to makes sense, to be the right emotions at the supposed right time. It also releases you from self judgement about the emotions you are feeling. Speaking up when you have an abuse background can provoke in others the same type of response as your abusers. Breaking this cycle by speaking your no, requesting your needs, and stating your boundaries is a journey that doesnt actually feel good. It does not feel empowering at first. Each year before your birthday, you may feel a low come on or depression. Depression is about the need for inner reflection. This is a Saturn principle. To gather inward and reflect upon which structures need restructuring. Pondering new directions. Depression has this purpose. This is also a time where the most suicides happen statistically. This time before our birthday each year can feel very dark, confusing, and rudderless. It varies on the depth of challenge it presents and it is akin to the balsamic phase of the moon just before the new moon. This phase is the trip through the underworld before the rebirth.
