Meeting Jesus: Famine or feast? The Pharisee’s feast: a manipulative trap (v. 1-6) full of proud, self exalting people (v. 7-11) and a host looking for favours (v. 12-14) The feast of the Kingdom of God: a great banquet (v. 15-17) full of all the wrong people (v. 18-21) and a host of lavish, persistent grace (v. 22-24) Come, for everything is now ready!
What place does money have in my life? Which Jesus? The real Jesus: was seen & talked about by many eye-witnesses brought about a great fulfilment was carefully investigated by Luke so that you might have certainty The humble boldness of gospel certainty
‘To be loved, be loveable!’ Loved by the God-who-is-love who loves the unlovely that they might lovely be An infinite and incomprehensible fountain of love
‘I know him!’ The thrill and terror of being known Being known by God: Humbles our pride (Hebrews 4:13; 1 Corinthians 8:1-3) Raises us up as his loved children (Galatians 4:4-11) Comforts and sustains through any trial (Isaiah 49:13-16) Gives us a sure voice to follow (John 10:1-16) ‘Who am I? Lonely questions mock me. Who I really am, you know me, I am yours, O God!’
Who am I!? Our crisis of identity Identity from without or within? Identity from above: Created in God’s image (Genesis 1:26-31) Re-created in Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:15-20) Whose am I? The security and purpose of receiving your identity in Christ
What brings you joy? Three things worth celebrating: (1) The Lord has shown his salvation to the world What the Lord has done for us God’s rescue is worth singing about Doesn’t this excite you? (2) The Lord is ruling the world What the Lord is doing for us Jesus’ rule is worth celebrating (3) The Lord will come to judge the world What the Lord will do for us The whole creation anticipates this with joy Is this your ultimate hope? Singing this song above all other songs

The risen Lord Jesus: transforms his people to be like him fulfils the temple and the law reigns in unstoppable glory grows his kingdom even through suffering “Those who had been scattered preached the word wherever they went…”
The unstoppable word Vs: the doors of a prison (5:17-26) the commands of men (5:27-32) the rage of rulers (5:33-42) the needs of the church (6:1-7) So the word of God spread…
You can change? A transforming grace A holy grace An amazing grace God’s grace is powerfully at work in us
Being the bad guys!? An unstoppable boldness… to proclaim the risen Lord given by the Holy Spirit learned from being with Jesus made clear with gospel glasses asked for in humble prayer “We cannot help speaking about what we have seen and heard”
Remember that old song?? An unstoppable restoration, as the risen Lord: makes the lame to leap brings the outcast in refreshes the repentant fulfils and restores all things Repent, and be restored!
Change? An unstoppable transformation, as the risen Lord calls his people to: repentance and faith devotion to his word glad and sincere community sacrificial partnership awe-filled prayer and praise Be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Messiah
Waiting… An unstoppable fulfilment: of God’s restoring presence (v. 1-13) of the ‘last days’ (v. 14-21) of the plan of God in the cross (v. 22-24) of the hope of a risen Christ (v. 25-32) of the promise of an ascended Lord (v. 33-35) “Therefore, let all Israel be assured of this”
Unstoppable…? An unstoppable kingdom… with a living Lord (v. 1-3) empowered by God’s promised Spirit (v. 4-8) growing across the whole world (v. 8) until the King returns (v. 9-11) founded on the witness of the Apostles (v. 12-26) The unstoppable acts of the risen Lord Jesus
