The Stumbling Block | Romans 9:30-33

I am trying here to prevent anyone saying the really foolish thing that people often say about Him: Im ready to accept Jesus as a great moral teacher, but I dont accept his claim to be God. That is the one thing  we must not say. A man who is merely a man and said the sort of things Jesus said would not be a great moral teacher. He would either be a lunatic-on the level with the man who says he is a poached egg-or else he would be the Devil of Hell. You must make your choice.

Can We Trust the Guide? | Romans 9:6-13

Paul wants to give us a richer, fuller picture of God’s LOVE. God has not failed the Jews and He will not fail those who trust Christ. Without negating what he has written in the first 8 chapters about human responsibility, Paul opens for us a window into the activity of God. He shows from three Old Testament examples - God has always been choosing people.
