About

Women with disabilities account for 1 in 8 pregnancies in Ontario. Dr. Lesley Tarasoff joins Julia Slanina to discuss how accessibility is desperately needed around pregnancy, childbirth, and early childhood services.


Dr. Lesley A. Tarasoff is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Interdisciplinary Centre for Health and Society at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Dr. Tarasoff’s program of research focuses on improving the health and health care experiences of marginalized groups, namely women with disabilities and sexual minority women. Specifically, her research has focused on the sexual, reproductive, perinatal, and mental health of these groups.
