RTR EXTRA: Tottenham 2-1 Luton

Spurs bounce back after the international break by taking all three points at home to Luton town. Goals courtesy of OG and Sonny, see Ange Postecoglou's men jump into the top four, even if only temporarily. It was a hard fought game, and one that Luton might feel a bit hard done by on. RTR EXTRA: Aston Villa 0-4 Tottenham

In their biggest game of the season, Aston Villa crumbled under the weight of expectation, with Spurs routing them 4-0 at Villa Park. Goals from Son Heung-min, James Maddison, Brennan Johnson and Timo Werner ensured Tottenham left the midlands with all three points on their hunt for Champions League football. It's a tough few weeks ahead for Spurs so this sort of momentum can only be a good thing. Up the Spurs! Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/ruletheroost. * Hosted on Acast. RTR EXTRA: Tottenham 3-1 Crystal Palace

Tottenham managed to comeback and beat Crystal Palace following goals from Werner, Romero and captain Son Heung-min. It was a difficult game that Spurs looked to be losing after Eze's freekick - Ange Postecoglou's men weren't quite at the races today, but a wins a win and it means that we continue to keep up the pressure on Aston Villa who sit above us in the Premier League. [PATREON] The Robbie Keane Ultras Episode Four

Been a while since I've had Jack G tell me that Spurs are s***e in long form, so time to get another dose. We talk about whether or not Spurs have been found out. Will a back in form Maddison make us less found out? Does Ange need to adapt to the demands of the Premier League or is he right to carry on the way that he is? Can Spurs win the Premier League any time soon...maybe? Yes... No...? We also talk a bit about Harry Kane and the issues he's having with Bayern right now. RTR EXTRA: Spurs 2-1 Brighton

Ange Postecoglou's man fought until the end to take all three points against a plucky Brighton side. It wasn't the prettiest of performances, but Tottenham came away with a much needed win courtesy of a goal from a wonderful assist by returning captain Son Heung-Min, converted by Brennan Johnson. RTR EXTRA: Everton 2-2 Tottenham

We drew with Everton! Ange out! Vicario out! etc etc A frustrating game, but we're still in a good place, and Jack tries his best to convey this through his cold. Can You Imagine Being Neil Maupay

Jack welcomes friend of the show Conor Mummery back to discuss victory over Brentford. What did Neil Maupay think he was doing? He angered Tottenham so it paid off in our favour, but despite the win, Spurs weren't great - is this a cause for concern? We discuss Richarlison's form and whether or not he's 'the' guy, people digging out Ange's youth pathway and wee look ahead to Everton and the rest of the season. All this and plenty more. Snap Out Of It

On this episode of Rule the Roost, Jack welcomes football writer Sean Walsh to the pod and they get straight to the point. With Spurs having recently missed out on signing Norwegian talent Antonio Nusa, but is it worth the uproar? The FA Cup exit at the hands of Manchester City is also on the table. Should Spurs fans really be losing their minds over it? Jack and Sean cut through the noise, offering a reality check and focusing on the positive strides the team is making. They dive into whether it's time to give Daniel Levy a break, acknowledging his role in shaping Spurs' current path. Looking forward, the hosts preview the upcoming clash with Brentford and toss around the idea of Ivan Toney donning the Lilywhite shirt. RTR EXTRA: FA Cup Tottenham 0-1 Man City

Jack reacts to Tottenham's exit from the FA Cup at the hands of Manchester City in what was a pretty weird game. Felt like Spurs never really got going, which is unlike your typical Ange Postecoglou team performance. Manchester City are of course the treble winners and are managed by Pep Guardiola, but is it wrong to have hoped that we might have given a little bit more to this one? Several players just weren't at it, and despite holding them off for long periods, we didn't create enough of our own opportunities. Timo Werner was crying out for service, but Dejan Kulusevski just couldn't get the ball to him. The biggest talking point has to be City's winner, which was a clear foul on the goalkeeper Vicario. How was that given? Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/ruletheroost. * Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy https://acast.com/privacy for more information.

There's So Much Good About Tottenham

Jack is back with Spooky for a typically philosophical discussion, digging deep into the current state of Spurs. In this episode, Jack and Spooky tackle the burning questions: Where do Spurs stand now? What should our realistic goals be? Is Daniel Levy finally living up to the promises of the past? Is it too bold to mention winning the league this season? They also dive into fan reactions regarding Brennan Johnson's inconsistent form, emphasising the importance of giving the young player some space to develop without unnecessary scrutiny. RTR EXTRA: Man Utd 2-2 Tottenham

Jack reacts to Tottenham's 2-2 draw away at Old Trafford. Once upon a time Manchester United were the most feared club on planet earth, now little old Spurs can be leaving feeling somewhat annoyed not to have won. An encouraging debut from Timo Werner, and a standout performance from Richarlison were two of the major positives for Ange Postecoglou's men. Rodrigo Bentancur ran the show, as Manchester United struggled to come up with anything to both Spurs in the second half. Annoying to have let Hojlund and Rashford score as well, but still, all in all, a great performance. Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/ruletheroost. * Hosted on Acast. Don't You Believe In Magic Anymore?

Host Jack is back with Ben Haines on Rule The Roost, the thinking man's Tottenham Hotspur podcast. They break down Tottenham's recent FA Cup win against Burnley and cut through the waffle to answer the big question: Just how crucial is winning the cup for Spurs this season? The FA Cup takes centre stage as the hosts debate its modern-day relevance. Has it lost its magic, or are other trophies stealing its thunder? They also get real about the current squad, comparing it to the adored 16/17 Pochettino side. Is this team on the brink of something special? Timo Werner's potential move from Leipzig to Spurs is also on the table. Jack and Ben discuss the pros and cons, considering Werner's track record, especially his mixed bag at Chelsea. RTR EXTRA: Tottenham 3-1 Bournemouth

Spurs see off 2023 in style by getting a hard-fought three points off a Bournemouth side in great form and brimming with confidence. Goals from Sarr, Son and Richarlison helped put the Cherries to bed and Ange Postecoglou almost got in a punch-up on the sidelines. That moves Tottenham back up the Premier League and still within touching distance of the top places. Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/ruletheroost. * Hosted on Acast. RTR EXTRA: Brighton 4-2 Tottenham

Spurs have been battered on the South Coast by a depleted Brighton side. It's a night to forget for everyone but Veliz, who scored his first goal for the club in the 4-2 drubbing. Tottenham gave it a go at an unlikely comeback in the closing stages, but in truth, it was too little too late. Was Ange Postecoglou to blame, or is this one on the players? RTR EXTRA: Tottenham 2-1 Everton

Spurs come through with a win, but Everton didn't make it easy. Ange Postecoglou's men continue to recover their form as they creep up the table again after that horrible November. The football was sublime at times, but the second half shows how much we need more quality off the bench. Great to get a win before Christmas as Richarlison comes back to haunt his old team. It's another win for Spurs as they continue their resurgence following the gloom of November. Jack welcomes Lara back to the pod to dissect Tottenham's recent win against Newcastle, putting an end to a month-long victory drought. Richarlison's standout performance takes the spotlight, overcoming early challenges at Tottenham. Captain Son Heung-Min earns praise for leading the team, but with many exceptional players, picking the man of the match is no easy feat. Tottenham have finally tasted victory again, after what feels like an eternity. Two goals from Richarlison, along with a neat finish from Udogie and penalty from Sonny to cap an impressive performance from the captain saw us get a little revenge over Newcastle after their bombastic victory at St. James' Park last season.
