About

The three Witches and a Druid sit around the coffee table and discuss nine Druidic Virtues of ADF. This is a three-part series.

Courage

“The ability to act appropriately in the face of danger” (Our Own Druidry 82). Merriam-Webster defines courage as: “Mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear, or difficulty” (“Courage”)

Integrity

“Honor, being trustworthy to oneself and to others, involving oath-keeping, honesty, fairness, respect, self-confidence” (Our Own Druidry 82). Merriam-Webster defines integrity as: “Firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values (incorruptibility); an unimpaired condition; and the quality or state of being complete or undivided” (“Integrity”).

Perseverance

“drive; the motivation to pursue goals even when that pursuit becomes difficult” (Our Own Druidry 82). Merriam-Webster defines perseverance as: “Steadfastness in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success” (“Perseverance”) which is very similar to how ADF defines it, but with the added definition of “drive.” I’d say that the combination of the two definitions help refine the meaning.
