Adding to the Endangered Species Act (ESA) conversation in Colorado, Senate Bill 24-171 went before the Ag & Natural Resources Committee on March 21, 2024, with the goal of reintroducing wolverines to the state. The North American wolverine, which was listed as threatened under the ESA in November of 2023, requires legislative approval prior to reintroduction. According to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW), wolverines are the largest member of the weasel family.
