Want to add more offers to your business, but not sure what to sell? It's important to think about your offer suite strategically and consider the journey that you're taking your ideal client on (because it's a whole lot easier to help the same person multiple times than trying to reach new people all the time). In today's episode, I'm sharing 5 different ways to find offer ideas you can sell to your audience. - Why focusing on solving a problem that people have (that some may be willing to pay to solve) is more important than trying to find a brand new idea that nobody has done before. - How noticing what kinds of questions people are asking you will give you clues about a potential new offer. - How hanging out where your ideal client is hanging out online will offer new ideas that you may not have thought of from your "expert" perspective. - Why taking the time to really understand your current clients can help you to find more problems that you can help them solve. The thought of creating something new to sell in your business can feel overwhelming. Where do you begin? How do you know if anyone will buy it? How can you get it out into the world? In today's episode, I'm sharing some tips to help make creating an offer feel simpler and more streamlined. - Why creating your entire offer suite at once will usually lead to overwhelm and confusion and why it's better to just start with one offer at a time. - Why getting crystal clear on who your ideal client is for your new offer will help you to build it more efficiently. - The importance of taking imperfect action to move beyond the planning stage. - How aiming for perfection will derail your creativity and keep you from actually getting your offer out there. - How staying in your own lane and creating your own goals is much more important than watching what everyone else is doing. Imposter syndrome is a reality for most business owners, and it's one that can sneak up on you without you even noticing—even if your business is flourishing. In today's episode, I'm sharing my own experience with imposter syndrome and signs that it may be holding you back. - 3 different definitions of imposter syndrome (cos it's sneaky like that!). - How feeling overworked and pressured to do more can have a hidden cause—and what it's costing you. - Why valuing your own expertise in your industry is much easier said than believed. - How constantly giving the spotlight to others (and keeping yourself in the shadows) hinders your growth. - How over-reaching and over-delivering can be a disservice to your audience. - How saying yes, when you really mean no, can sabotage your boundaries—and your opportunities. Today's online world is saturated—both with business owners wanting to be seen *and* people who are overwhelmed by content. So, how do you get your message in front of the right people at the right time? In today's episode, I'm sharing exactly how to do this—by mastering your messaging so that you can stand out online *and* attract your ideal client. - Why knowing who your ideal client *is* is just as important as knowing who they're *not*. - How understanding what's really going on in your ideal client's life will help you to tailor your message directly to them and hit them where they're at. - Why getting super clear on your ideal client's problems means you can use their words, rather than trying to use your own words (as the expert). - The questions to ask yourself to really hone in on both the solution that you offer and the transformation that it provides. I've spoken about niching a lot on this podcast—but here's the thing: Niching down is one of the simplest ways to shift who your business attracts. So if you're struggling to stand out and find that you're getting people shopping around for the cheapest option, rather than seeing the value in what you sell, then it could be time to switch up what you offer. So, in today's episode, I'm sharing some new ways to think about niching. - How asking yourself some big questions will help you to shift who your business attracts, such as "how niche is too niche?" and "won't niching limit my business?". - How thinking about what your business sells (and to who) will help you to clarify your own niche. - The 3 different ways to niche your business and the people this will attract. - How niching can help you stand out in an otherwise crowded, oversaturated online world. There's a lot of fear out there in the online space right now that's saying that "no-one is buying" because of the economy. But it's normal for the economy to ebb and flow. What's even more important than the economy when it comes to cashflow in your business is how you're showing up and selling your offers. In today's episode, I'm sharing 9 common mistakes that may be affecting your sales (and therefore your cash flow). - Why showing up with effective sales processes for your offers are keys to creatively selling to your audience. - Why testing the offers you're selling is so important. - How serving exisiting clients in different ways can be much easier than trying to constantly find new ones. - The key differences between selling and promoting (hint: they're not the same thing!). - Why thinking about what your client needs *right now* is so important when it comes to deciding which problem to solve. Being busy and productive are not the same thing, and they don't always translate into growth. In today's episode we explore 8 things that you might be busily doing in your business that don't actually move the needle or make you more productive. - The curse of perfectionism and how it's holding you back. - When over planning feels safe and comfortable, but not necessarily productive. - Why taking action steps leads to clarity and confidence (not the other way around). - How over complicating tasks can cause overwhelm and stagnation. - The art of saying 'no'! Ask yourself: 'Would I say yes to this if it were tomorrow?'. - How failing to identify your focus point leads to 'shiny object syndrome'. - Why distracting yourself by over-consuming content (and doing too much research!) is one of the biggest time and energy wasters. The businesses I've seen succeed, do so because they've got the basics down pat and do them *really* well. Where I've often seen businesses struggle is when they've tried to skip the basics because they feel they're too advanced (or impatient) to start at the beginning. In today's episode, I'm sharing these basic, but essential steps that are important for any business to succeed. - The common things that businesses tend to focus on first *before* they've got their basics covered. - Why defining your ideal client is so important—not just when you're starting out, but multiple times a year. - Why researching your audience is way more than just *thinking* that you know them or sending out a survey. - How articulating the problem that your offer solves is so important when it comes to effective offer messaging for your ideal client. - The importance of creating a budget for your business, even from the get-go. It's so tempting to keep creating more offers. But sometimes, when you want to grow, you need to take a step back to move forward and create space for something new (even if you don't know what that new thing is yet). In today's episode, I'm sharing the questions you can ask yourself to help you decide if you should retire an offer (or not). - Why giving more content does not mean you're offering more value (and how it can lead to overwhelm instead). - How letting go of an offer you have created can be so hard, especially when you've put a lot of time and energy into creating it. - The 6 questions you can ask yourself to help you decide whether to retire an offer or to keep it. - The two practical ways you can retire an offer that you no longer want as part of your business. There's a human behind every business—and sometimes it's fun to learn a little more about the people you listen to all day long. We all have experiences that make us who we are, which can affect how we show up and impact our audience and our clients. In today's episode, I'm sharing a few things about myself that you probably don't know and how they've impacted my business journey through the years. - How comparing yourself to others doesn't take into account your life experiences. - The countries I've lived in around the world and how they've shaped me personally and professionally. - How starting out as an accountant was just the beginning of my professional career and how I've tweaked and pivoted since then. - Why I get bored so easily and need to be challenged (or I'll procrastinate until the cows come home!). - How learning new things keeps my brain engaged while also helping me to better help others (and my business). - A sneak peek into my personal life around relationships, kids and travel. Most online business owners start out with a few simple offers—usually 1:1 because it's the easiest thing to sell when just starting out. These may serve you to a point, but eventually you'll probably want to make some changes, especially if you want to scale. In today's episode, I'm sharing 7 questions to ask to figure out if your offer suite is still the right one, or whether it needs to change. - How increasing your price point over time is essential for charging your worth and your offer's value. - Understanding your time vs your price point to ensure sustainability over the long term. - How pricing can attract the *wrong* people into your business instead of the ones you actually want to work with. - Why enjoying what you offer is so important—not just for right now, but for the long-term vision of your business. Using AI tools in your business (like Chat-GPT) can really help you to save time and deliver more value. But to do so, you need to understand them and how best to use them to avoid receiving generic output that anyone can Google. In today's episode, I'm sharing 6 different ways that I use AI in my business to save time and improve my offers. - The types of course bonuses that you can ask AI to create that can deliver value and save time (for you and your students/clients). - How using AI can help you to get all of your SOPs (standard operating procedures) in check for you and your team. - The specific questions you can ask Chat-GPT to create content topics and brainstorm titles for you—while avoiding those uninspiring, generic responses. "Prior to Launch Magic, I thought you just had a little cart button on your website and people would just press "buy". I had no idea that you had to take them through a journey before they would be ready to buy". Sound familiar? This is soooo common! So, in today's episode, I'm sharing a live Q&A panel that I ran with some former Launch Magic students who are all in different businesses and at different stages. - How enrolling in Launch Magic helped students to clarify their programs and how to launch them. - Why following a structured launch process helps to nurture your audience and provide them with the information that they need to make a decision to buy—even if you've already launched before. - How launching can be successful, regardless of where you're starting from. - The mental and strategic challenges that many business owners face when launching digital products (like confidence, audience building and messaging). - How being a part of a supportive community can help you to stay accountable and committed to finally getting your online course, program or membership off the ground. You can spend forever trying to piece together everything you need to launch your program from the free information that's out there. But once you understand where people are coming from in terms of their marketing, you realise that you're not actually getting the solution until you buy, right? So you are always just going to be getting told more and more things about the problem that you have. In today's episode, I'm talking to previous Launch Magic students because sometimes the best way to know whether a program is going to be a good fit for your particular situation is to listen to the experiences of other people who have been in that situation: - The 3 different types of students who launch their digital product in Launch Magic. - The challenges these students were having with their launches before they did the program. - Their experience of working their way through Launch Magic. - The results these students had from their launches. This week, on my Instagram Stories, I asked my audience to send me their questions about everything launch-related. So many of you responded and so I decided to turn your answers into a podcast episode! So, in today's episode, I'm sharing how you can launch an offer before you've created it and so much more! - The *many* benefits of launching your offer before you've even created it. - Why live launching is a much more effective way to sell your offer, compared to parking it on your website. - Why *warming up* your audience before launching is so important and what content you can share to do this. - The key to creating urgency with your offers, especially if they're evergreen. While I'm a big believer in live launching your offers, there are some circumstances when I *wouldn't* live launch. In today's episode, I'm sharing 6 times when I wouldn't launch an offer live (and 3 times when I *absolutely* would). - Why live launching a low-ticket offer is not always necessary, especially when it's super specific and you have a lot of social proof. - How understanding the timing around specific problems your audience has can help you to decide their urgency and whether to live launch. - Why observing your customer's journey and how they move through your offer suite can determine which offers flow naturally from one to the next and which ones could be live launched. - Why customising packages for clients or offering a done-for-you service does not normally require a live launch process, especially if you're only working with small numbers of clients. Have you launched any of your offers before? Especially if they're a course, program or membership? If so, there are a few mistakes that you can avoid along the way if you want to maximise sales in the future. In today's episode, I'm sharing 5 mistakes that *will* cost you sales in a launch. - Why making mistakes is part of the process and how you can use these to change how you approach launching in the future. - The importance of reviewing your launch and making changes for the next one. - Why ditching the whole launch and starting again from scratch is not just unhelpful, but unnecessary too. - How growing your audience with the right people between launches will help you to prepare for the next one. When I talk about launching I'm usually referring to a live launch—which isn't something you just do the first time you launch a brand new offer out into the world. If you're only launching it once, then you're leaving money on the table. In today's episode, I'm sharing how you can review your launch to refine, rinse and repeat for more sales next time. - Why sending out a non-buyer survey while the launch is still fresh in your audience's mind is so important. - Why looking at the numbers at each step gives you context and tells you more of a story about what worked and what didn't. - How using the READ method will help you to review your entire launch. - Why reviewing your messaging is so important to bridge the parts of the Magician's Gap that you may have missed. It's easy to think that if you just get your offer in front of more people then you'll sell more. Sometimes this will work IF you have all of the ingredients in place. But if you're struggling to get your current audience to convert, then getting more people won't help until you tweak things. In today's episode, I'm share my top essential must-knows to sell your online course, program or membership. - What launching your offer live actually means (and what it doesn't). - Why understanding where your audience is at will help you know what they need to know to buy from you. - Why trying to hype up your offer and selling it as this new exciting thing just doesn't work—people *won't* buy because they're excited and don't want to miss out. - How answering their questions and hesitations IS what will guide them to buy. - How dumping all of your knowledge into a course can cause overwhelm rather than value. Your email list is a precious resource that *you* own—whereas you don't own your social platforms (and with social accounts being randomly hacked and/or shut down, your email list is even more important!). In today's episode, I'm sharing more about *why* your email list is an essential part of your launch and how you can grow it to prepare for the next one. - Why your email list isn't about the number of people, it's about the *type* of people who join that will help it to convert. - How inviting people onto your list is about offering value and nurturing their journey—rather than just being another email in their inbox. - The different types of assets you need in your first launch and how they can make the next launch much easier. - The importance of sharing free content to bridge the Magician's Gap and the calls to action you can offer. - Why reaching the *right* people for your launch is so important and understanding the different ways you can do this. Live launching is a limited-time sales campaign for one offer that's strategically designed to bridge the Magician's Gap. Live launching is *not* about creating hype and FOMO and using these to get people to buy. In today's episode, I'm sharing why live launching is so effective when it comes to selling your offers. - Why having a deadline is *not* about pushing people to buy, it's about encouraging them to make a decision. - How live launching gives you a lot of meaningful data on conversions at each step of the sales process. - How sending a non-buyer survey to your audience will give you meaningful insights about how you can tweak your launch in the future. - Why answering your audience's questions and understanding their hesitations will help them with their decision-making. Launching an offer for the first time can feel daunting and overwhelming. But the great thing about live launching is that it's a rinse-and-repeat process that you can make bigger and better each time you launch. So that first launch is more like an experiment, learning what works and what doesn't. In today's episode, I'm sharing 8 things you need to know before launching your brand new offer. - Why taking the pressure off yourself (and your launch) is so important. - How taking imperfect action when launching will give you the feedback you need to tweak it for next time. - The key parts of a live launch and the 4-part framework I use with every launch. - Understanding the reasons why your offer might *not* sell and how you can hone your messaging next time.
