About

Fairy Tail is a Japanese manga series that was written and illustrated by Hiro Mashima. The series was originally serialized in the Weekly Shnen magazine of Kodansha from August 2006 until July 2017. Fairy Tail is now a popular anime show with over 50 million viewers worldwide. While the concept isn't too far removed from reality, the show's over-sexualization leaves a raunchy legacy. It also lacks depth within its antagonists and plot.

Fairy Tail's over-sexualization leaves behind a raunchy show

Fairy Tail is an anime series with a raunchy, sexual tone. While the majority of anime series are not overly-sexual, Fairy Tail isn't without its sexy moments. This series has several instances in which the female characters are over-sexualized. This can make the show too childish for some viewers, and it can also throw off the in-universe logic.

The over-sexualization in Fairy Tail is most prominent in the female characters. Characters in the series are often portrayed with disproportionate busts, skinny bodies, and big, doe-like eyes. They are also frequently featured in boob shots and panty shots.

Fairy Tail's concept isn't too far from reality

Fairy Tail is an anime series about a wizard's guild that is set in a world very similar to our own. It begins with the adventures of a young user of celestial magic named Lucy, who wants to join the guild. She soon meets other young wizards like Natsu, Gray, Elfman, and Mira, and the story continues to follow their friendships and relationships.

The show has a great cast. While most anime series only have a single or two characters, Fairy Tail has many robust side characters, each with multiple story arcs. The series never drags, and it keeps momentum from season to season. Plus, you don't get spoilers.

It lacks depth within the antagonists' characters

Fairy Tail has received a lot of criticism for its story handling. It is not the first series to face such criticisms. However, the series' creator, Hiro Mashima, admitted that he started out with little planning and knew very little about the characters. He only had a general idea about the role of Natsu. As a result, the stories of the main characters lacked depth.

One reason for this problem is the characterization of the antagonists. The Sabertooth Guild, for example, was initially vile and unlikable. During the 'Grand Magic Games' arc, they tormented Fairy Tail and tormented Lucy Heartfilia. The Sabertooth Guild members never showed much redemption in the story. Moreover, their actions were always done for the sake of survival and their future. Even the guildmaster's death was self-defense, which made the entire thing feel rather undeveloped.
