Anime movies have become a popular genre to watch these days. There are many different types of anime movies that you can watch and some of them include Ghost In The Shell, Grave of the Fireflies, and My Neighbor Totoro. These movies are based on manga and anime stories and they are very popular with people all over the world.


Spirited Away


Probably one of the most popular anime movies of all time, Spirited Away was directed by Hayao Miyazaki. It is an animation film about a ten-year-old girl named Chihiro. After her parents' death, Chihiro tries to find them, accompanied by a mysterious boy named Haku. But Chihiro soon finds herself in the realm of spirits.


The film features many different characters, some good, some bad, and some both. Spirited Away has a message of friendship and compassion for others. It also has a happy ending for all of its characters.


The film also uses fantasy elements. One of the movie's main villains is a sorceress named Yubaba. Her twin sister Zeniba is also a villain. She transforms Yubaba's infant son into a mouse.


Aside from Yubaba and her twin sister Zeniba, Spirited Away also has a number of other villains. There's a foul-looking wraith named No-Face. No-Face is Chihiro's personal spirit, a spirit who represents her fears. He showers people with gifts, but when they deny him his gifts, he turns into a foul-looking beast.


Spirited Away uses hand-drawn animation. In fact, half of the animation cuts in the film were made at Ghibli. But, the film also uses computer generated imagery (CG) to enhance certain aspects of the animation.


The film is based on the story of author Toshio Suzuki. Spirited Away is also a film about childhood anxieties.


My Neighbor Totoro


Animated film My Neighbor Totoro is a tale of a family, two sisters, and a magical creature. The movie is a nostalgic tale about friendship and the beauty of family and nature.


The story follows Satsuki Kusakabe, a four-year-old girl, and her older sister Mei. Both girls are living in a small village in the countryside because their mother is sick. Their father is a university professor. His wife, Yasuko Kusakabe, is recovering from a mysterious disease.


The film also shows the importance of family and laughter. The girls have to face the challenges of living in the countryside and dealing with their new mother. The film was a huge hit in Japan, winning multiple awards. The movie has also garnered a cult following worldwide.


The film was originally intended to be a children's book, but Miyazaki changed the story and turned it into an animated film. The movie has become one of the most popular Japanese films of all time. In 2010, it ranked on Empire Magazine's "100 Best Films of World Cinema" list. It won the Mainichi Film Award, Animage Anime Grand Prix, and Kinema Junpo Award for Best Film in 1988. The movie was also released in the United States in 1993. The movie received many awards in Japan, including the Special Award at the Blue Ribbon Awards.


The film also features the character of Totoro, which is modeled after the author's niece. The animal is indifferent to the little girl sitting on him.
