About

“Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." ~ Matthew 5:11-12

How connected are you to God? How present is He in your life? Do you tend to hide Him and only bring He out when you need Him? Or do you share Him with the world you touch?

Today, many celebrate St. Patrick's Day. And some use it to drink more, wear more green, and as an excuse to have a party.

But there is so much more to know about St. Patrick, some from his biography and others from what was passed down through the centuries.

In the heart of ancient Ireland, amidst the lush green countryside where legends and faith intertwined, there lived a man known as St. Patrick. His story is not just a tale of distant times but a timeless journey of resilience, belief, and the profound impact one individual can have on the world around them.

Born Maewyn Succat in Roman Britain, St. Patrick's life took a fateful turn when he was captured by Irish pirates and sold into slavery in the mystical lands of Ireland. In the shadows of hardship and solitude, he found solace in his unwavering faith, a flickering light amidst the darkness. It was in those moments of isolation that he heard a divine call, a whisper from God beckoning him to escape and carry the torch of Christianity across the Irish hills and valleys.

Returning to his homeland, now a man of God, St. Patrick embarked on a mission that would shape the course of Irish history forever. Armed with unwavering conviction and an open heart, he traversed the rugged landscapes of Ireland, preaching the Gospel and baptizing thousands in the name of Christ. His teachings transcended the boundaries of language and culture, resonating with the souls of the Irish people and kindling a flame of faith that would burn brightly for centuries to come.

In the words of St. Patrick himself, "I bind unto myself today the power of God to guide me, the might of God to uphold me, the wisdom of God to teach me."

These words echo through the ages as a timeless reminder of the strength that comes from divine grace and the wisdom that springs from a heart attuned to God's will.

The K.I.S.S. ~ Rejoice and be glad!

How connected are you to God?

Are you one who can honestly say that you are putting Him first in your life?

Now, of course, this is between you and God. This is not about pointing fingers or declaring someone is more connected to God than someone else. This is personal! And that's how God wants it. He desires to be personal with you in everything that you do.

As we reflect on the life and legacy of St. Patrick, draw strength from his example of perseverance and dedication. His life serves as a reminder that in the face of adversity, you can find courage and purpose through your faith. Embrace the challenges that lie before you with courage and faith, knowing that you can overcome any obstacles in your path with God's guidance.

I want you to ponder this on St. Patrick's Day.

The famous prayer known as "St. Patrick's Breastplate" or "The Lorica of St. Patrick." The full verse goes as follows:

"Christ beside me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me, Christ within me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit down,
Christ when I arise, Christ in the heart of every man who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me."

This powerful prayer reflects St. Patrick's deep faith in Christ's presence and protection in every aspect of his life, guiding him through challenges and triumphs on his mission to spread Christianity in Ireland. The words embody a sense of divine companionship and spiritual fortitude that continues to resonate with believers across the centuries.

How connected are you to God?

Who do you see in your reflection? God or yourself?

"Christ beside me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me, Christ within me,
Christ beneath me, Christ above me....."

No matter what you face, are you able to rejoice and be glad?

That answer is a reflection of God's presence in your life.

Go in peace.

"Be present. Be incredible. Be YOU!!!"
