The New Orleans Saints and Tyrann Mathieu will now be together through the 2025 season, bringing him one step closing to retiring a Saint. Tyrann Mathieu will remain with his hometown team adding another year to his contract and reducing his 2024 salary to provide much needed cap relief for the Saints. Meanwhile, Michael Thomas is on his way out as we all expected. And the exit has not been a pleasant one.

Justin Simmons, Kyle Dugger and Jeremy Chinn could all be options for the Saints in free agency. But will they want to spend the money on Simmons or to negotiate with Dugger on a transition tag? Things could get interesting for the Saints who have an opening next to Tyrann Mathieu and in-house candidates to fill it.
