The CBS Sports analyst was once a top college basketball player at Ohio State University, where he earned All-Big Ten Conference honors and won the Big Ten Most Valuable Player award in 1982. After his junior year at Ohio State, he declared for the 1992 NBA draft and was selected eighth overall in the first round by the Indiana Pacers, and named to the NBA All-Rookie first team in 1983 after averaging 20.1 points and 10.6 rebounds. But his NBA career was cut short after just four seasons due to knee injuries, and he was forced to retire in 1986 at the age of 25. Clark began his broadcasting journey with ESPN in 1990, and in 1993 he moved to CBS Sports, where he has worked since. In March 2010, Kellogg played a game of H.O.R.S.E. against U.S. President Barack Obama. Today's guest on "THE COACHABLE COACH" SERIES is Jeremy Sheetinger, the 2021 Skip Bertman National Baseball Coach of the Year. In this episode we discussed ... __ __ "The Coachable Coach" series on the  goes beyond the X's and O's as Jamy Bechler talks with some of the best sports coaches. Jamy talks with coaches who value growth, improvement, and leadership – not just with their athletes but for themselves, as well. They believe that a strong culture doesn’t just happen by accident. Good coaches may know the X’s and O’s, the tactics, and strategies that should lead to winning BUT great coaches know their athletes. Great coaches go beyond the X’s and O’s. Great coaches know how to inspire their athletes to do their best and maximize their chances for success. - - - -  JEREMY SHEETINGER is the head baseball coach at Georgia Gwinnett College. He was selected to lead the NAIA program in 2020 and proceeded to win 176 games in his first four years (which included a shortened Covid season). Sheetinger guided the Grizzlies to the 2021 NAIA World Series title, marking the program's first national championship. He was named the Skip Bertman National Coach of the Year from the Collegiate Baseball Foundation. He is the first NAIA coach to earn the prestigious award since it was founded in 2013. Sheetinger also spent three seasons as head coach at Spalding University in Louisville, Kentucky, posting an 86-43 record, including a school-record 33 victories at the NCAA Division III level in the 2013 season, and three conference postseason tournament appearances. From 2015-2019 he served as an associate scout for the Atlanta Braves.
