Āpera: I taku hōtaka ka tīmata ākuanei. E pai ana taku whakawhiti i te hongere.

Hēmi: Āe, kāore he aha ki a au. Anei te roumamao, kei a koe te mana.

Āpera: Tēnā koe. E warea ana ōku whakaaro ki tēnei hōtaka, ao te pō, pō te ao.

Hēmi: He pērā rawa te pai?

Āpera: Ehara! Me mātakitaki koe. 

Hēmi: Āe, ā tōna wā pea, engari me hoki au ki tīmatanga rā anō.

Āpera: Hoihoi, kua tīmata.

Hēmi: Ka pai, ka pai, engari whakahekea te kahaoro.
