7 ways to use emotional intelligence to beat procrastination

Tie the task to a larger goal ...you are passionate about. Thinking about how wonderful it will feel to get that promotion we crave will help motivate us if we can see doing a great job on the report as a stepping-stone to advancement. Start with the easiest part The most difficult step in completing a task is getting started.  Starting at the easiest part takes less emotional resistance, and once we get started, we tend to get on a roll, which gives us the momentum to keep going. Break it down The task will seem less daunting if we tell ourselves that we are going to only spend five minutes working on it.  We’ll find ourselves continuing to work past the committed time that we told ourselves. Manage your distractions Think about what may throw you off track from your work before you start. This allows you to unplug, disconnect, and put a hold on everything and everyone that could potentially disrupt your focus and throw you off.

how to prioritize work : 7 practical method when "EVERYTHING IS IMPORTANT"

how to prioritize work : 7 practical method when "EVERYTHING IS IMPORTANT" Learning how to prioritize... ...means getting more out of the limited time you have each day. It’s one of the cornerstones of productivity and once you know how to properly prioritize, it can help with everything from your time management to work life balance. Master lists Capture everything on a Master List and then break it down by monthly, weekly, and daily goals. • Start by making a master list—a document, app, or piece of paper where every current and future task will be stored.  • Once you have all your tasks together, break them down into monthly, weekly, and daily goals. • When setting your priorities, try not to get too “task oriented” - you want to make sure you’re prioritizing the more effective work. Eisenhower Matrix The matrix is a simple four-quadrant box that answers that helps you separate “urgent” tasks from “important” ones: • Urgent and Important: Do these tasks as soon as possible • Important, but not urgent: Decide when you’ll do these and schedule it • Urgent, but not important: Delegate these tasks to someone else • Neither urgent nor important: Drop these from your schedule as soon as possible. The Ivy Lee Method Rank your work by its true priority with the Ivy Lee Method: • At the end of each work day, write down the 6 most important things you need to accomplish tomorrow.  • Prioritize those 6 items  n order of their true importance. • When you arrive tomorrow, concentrate only on the first task. Work until the first task is finished before moving on to the next one. • Approach the rest of your list in the same fashion. At the end of the day, move any unfinished items to a new list of six tasks for the following day. • Repeat this process every working day. The ABCDE method Instead of keeping all tasks on a single level of priority, this method offers two or more levels for each task: • Go through your list and give every task a letter from A to E (A being the highest priority) • For every task that has an A, give it a number which dictates the order you’ll do it in • Repeat until all tasks have letters and numbers. Set the tone of the day by “Eating the frog” Once you’ve prioritized your most important work, it’s time to actually choose how to attack the day.How you start the day sets the tone for the rest of it. And often, getting a large, hairy, yet important task out of the way first thing gives you momentum, inspiration, and energy to keep moving.  Warren Buffett’s 2-list strategy Cut out “good enough” goals with Warren Buffett’s 2-list strategy. • Write down your top 25 goals: life goals, career goals, education goals, or anything else you want to spend your time on. • Circle your top 5 goals on that list. • Finally, any goal you didn’t circle goes on an “avoid at all cost” list. These are the tasks that are seemingly important enough to deserve your attention. But that aren’t moving you towards your long-term priorities. The sunk cost fallacy Humans are especially susceptible to the “sunk cost fallacy”—a psychological effect where we feel compelled to continue doing something just because we’ve already put time and effort into it.But the reality is that no matter what you spend your time doing, you can never get that time back. And any time spent continuing to work towards the wrong priority is just wasted time.

काम करना मुश्कील क्यो है?

Taking action = eventual success Inaction is the biggest cause of our failures and our miseries. If we could consistently do the things we know we should do, we would be more successful, and our lives would be better. Yet we struggle to take action.

Different types of lead generation.

Different types of lead generation. How do you generate sales leads? Most of us have to generate a regular flow of leads to win new business. But if you achieve results with one lead generation tactic you can get ‘tunnel vision’, ignoring other possibilities. There are lots of ways to generate leads, but not all of them will suit your business or the product you sell. For example, some types of lead generation only make sense for high value products. Brian Carroll, author of ‘Lead Generation for the Complex Sale’ has drawn a mind map illustrating most of the major types of lead generation. He suggests you should have a ‘portfolio’ of lead generation tactics that you regularly review, the way investors manage a stock portfolio. 7 categories of lead generation We think there are 7 main categories Outbound – prospecting and contact via email and phone Online – driving traffic to your website and generating enquiries and leads. लीड जंरेशन क्या है? (2)

लीड जंरेशन क्या है? (2) Components of lead generation  Lead generation programs don’t end at simply generating your leads, there are various other components that are just as important to the lead generation strategy.  A lead generation database:  As leads come in, you’ll need to be able to track, attribute them to the appropriate source, score, and segment them to begin nurturing. While you can do some of this manually, you’ll need an automated system in place if you want to scale your efforts.     Supporting content and lead-ready channels:  Content is the foundation of your lead generation efforts. Think of content as the fuel for all of your marketing campaigns—from email, to social, to event collateral. You’ll also want to see how your website, landing pages, social media, email marketing, paid programs, and sales tactics fit in to the lead generation execution plan  An analytics engine:  Now that you know how much you’re investing you can accurately track returns on your lead generation programs. But looking at only the first or last touch to determine how your overall strategy is working won’t give you a full picture—common wisdom is that it takes seven touches to convert a cold lead to a sale.  A martech stack:  The right lead generation technologies will save you money, help you do more with less, measure and optimize your programs, and ultimately allow you to grow your lead generation programs—and company—faster

लीड जंरेशन क्या है?(part 1)

Common problems that lead generation can solve    Simple batch and blast advertising doesn’t appeal to the self-directed buyer, and having a solid lead generation program in place can help you navigate the new complexity surrounding lead generation. Below are a few problems lead generation can help solve. Problem: I need to generate a high volume of leads. If you’re just starting out, a lead generation program can result in increased brand awareness, new relationships, higher quality leads, and more sales. If you’re looking to optimize an existing program, you may want to reevaluate your audience profiles, buyer journey, channels, and tactics. Keep your goals, customer concerns, and challenges in mind, deliver content that solves their pain points, and keep nurturing those relationships—soon you’ll have a funnel filled with qualified leads. Problem: My sales team says that I’m not delivering high-quality leads. There are several reasons why your sales team is struggling to convert leads into customers. First, sales and marketing should be in agreement about what constitutes a qualified lead, and when that lead should be handed off, keeping in mind that 96% of people visiting your website aren’t ready to buy yet. If sales contacts them too soon, they may feel put off—buyers today do not want to feel sold to. Lead quality is important, but it’s a major challenge for marketers, so it may take some time to start bringing in qualified leads.  Problem: I’m bringing in leads, but don’t have a strategy around what to do next. Generating leads is just one part of lead generation. Once you bring these leads in, you must utilize lead scoring and nurturing to qualify said leads before sales can do their job. According to Forrester, buyers might be anywhere from 75 to 90% of the way through their buying journey before they contact the vendor, after they’ve completed their own research. Keep this in mind when determining what point in the funnel sales should step in. Problem: I need to be able to demonstrate the return on investment (ROI) of my marketing team. To show the impact of your marketing team, you’ll need to plan out a strategy and determine what to measure, when to measure, and how to measure. Choose metrics that show how marketing is increasing effectiveness across the board, generating qualified leads, amplifying sales pipeline velocity, and improving sales and marketing alignment through leveraging lead generation software. Problem: My lead generation program isn’t working anymore. If your lead generation strategy has yet to catch up to the age of the self-directed buyer, it’s time to reevaluate. Using modern lead generation software can help leads find you by increasing brand visibility and capturing interest with informational content buyers can use during their own research before they’re ready to purchase.

What is lead generation? (Part 1)

What is Lead Generation? Where traditional marketing methods such as email blasts used to be enough to draw customers, the increase of competition and information abundance is making it more difficult for companies to track, reach, and engage with potential customers. Lead generation, the marketing process of stimulating and capturing interest in a product or service for the purpose of developing a sales pipeline, allows companies to nurture targets until they’re ready to buy. Lead generation can be useful for any type or size of business, and for both B2C and B2B spaces. Sixty percent of marketers state that lead generation is a key pain point for their company. Determining a good lead is more complex than just targeting people who downloaded your white paper, and it’s important that your sales reps don’t waste their time cold calling unqualified leads when there are ways to narrow down the pool. When you implement a lead generation program, you increase brand awareness, build relationships, generate qualified leads, and ultimately close deals. The higher quality leads you direct your sales team to, the more of those leads will result in sales. In doing this, you are helping your company grow, while also growing the credibility for your marketing department by showing tangible results and proving yourself to be a valuable part of the revenue team. Lead generation has been around for a long time, but methods have changed from simply finding a customer early on in their sales journey and sending the sales team their way. The self-directed buyer is inundated with information, so it’s vital to find new, creative ways to cut through the static and reach potential customers. Instead of finding customers through mass advertising and email blasts, marketers must rely on being found and building relationships with their buyers. In the age of information abundance, marketing is going through a massive shift. Common problems that lead generation can solve    Simple batch and blast advertising doesn’t appeal to the self-directed buyer, and having a solid lead generation program in place can help you navigate the new complexity surrounding lead generation.
