About

The San Francisco Giants picked up their first win of the 2024 season with a 8-3 victory over the San Diego Padres. Starting pitcher Kyle Harrison was locked in during this early season matchup as he surrendered just two runs over six stellar inning pitched. Newcomer Matt Chapman went deep twice and plated five runs, leading the Giants offense. But it wasn't all just Matt Chapman, as the Giants laced 13 hits and went 5-11 with runners in scoring position. Giants baseball might not be torture in 2024.
