• • No permit is needed to run the Rubicon Trail which is technically an Eldorado County public road.
  • A permit is required to have a campfire in the Eldorado National Forest.  You can get these at https://www.readyforwildfire.org/permits/campfire-permit/
  • No permit is required for campfire at Rubicon Springs as it is private land, but permission to have one will be posted at the host house in Rubicon Springs.
• Loon Lake Trail Head
• • Camping is available by reservation at the Eldorado National Forest Loon Lake Campground. https://www.fs.usda.gov/recarea/eldorado/recarea/?recid=71069
  • Parking is available below the dam for tow rigs and there a forest service pit toilets adjacent to this parking area.
  • Staging air down is done on the granite slabs above the parking area
