About
On this Wednesday edition of the Orange and Brown Talk Podcast, Ashley Bastock and Mary Kay Cabot finish recapping everything Browns-related from the NFL annual meetings in Orlando.
First, the two discuss the NFL’s impending announcement on the league’s first-ever Brazil game. Will the Browns play abroad against the Eagles to open the season or will it be the Green Bay Packers? We could know as soon as this week, but what we do know is that it's down to those two teams.
Then, they get into the big news from Browns GM Andrew Berry: How Nick Chubb’s recovery is going. Mary Kay gives some insight on the next step into Chubb’s rehab from his season-ending knee injury that required two surgeries: load running. The two also discuss how the next three months will be key in determining Chubb’s availability for the beginning of the season, and the roles of the new running backs in the room.
Amari Cooper was also a big topic of discussion for Berry, and what he had to say about the possibility of extending their No. 1 wide receiver. It seems like it’s inevitable at this point for multiple reasons, including a cap standpoint, the wide receiver market as a whole, and how valuable he has been in Cleveland.
Mary Kay and Ashley also discuss what Berry had to say about Deshaun Watson’s recovery and another indication he gave that the quarterback’s rehab from season-ending shoulder surgery is going well.
Finally, the two discuss the trade deadline moving back one week, and how it wasn’t exactly what the Browns proposed ahead of the league's annual meetings, but is still a good compromise.
