1. You have faith in God when it’s accompanied with action



James 2:17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. (NIV)
2. You are saved through faith

3. You cannot please God without faith

4. You have been given a measure of faith



A. Every Christ follower has been given a measure of faith at salvation.



Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. (NKJV)



5. You can develop your faith by hearing God’s word



Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (NKJV) 



James 1:22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. (NKJV)



6. You can develop your faith by withstanding tests 



James 1:2-3 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance (NIV)



7. You fight by faith



1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. (NIV)



8. You are protected by faith



Ephesians 6:16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (NIV)



9. You are called to live by faith 



Romans 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” (NKJV)

10. You can miss out on miracles by having a lack of faith

11. You can move mountains with small faith 



Matthew 17:20 He replied, “Because you have so little faith. Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” (NIV)
