Welcome to RRR Season 8's September episode! In this episode, we actually just gush about Toku for a really long time. It's nice to be able to do that again. Obviously, the main focus is on the series wrap-up discussion of Kamen Rider Ex-Aid. We also talk about the batch of Kyuranger that has happened since the last episode, as well as the first three episodes of Kamen Rider Build! With a lot to gush about and little to complain about, this turns into a bit of a long one (that's what she said). We also spend a bit of time reminiscing on old jokes and talk about some new Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon related announcements. October's episode will record sometime after NYCC, where we will be discussing any of the announcements for the brands we love. Welcome to August's episode of RRR! This initially was supposed to be our SDCC 2017 episode, and at the core, it is. We discuss all of the new information (and our insane hype) for Kamen Rider Build. This spirals into an impromptu discussion about the current state of Super Sentai and Power Rangers. Together they are strong, but individually, both shows aren't doing nearly as well as they should be, which is definitely a shame. We discuss what's happening, what could happen in the future, and our ideas to rejuvenate both franchises. Then we briefly talk about SDCC, because it felt like a quiet one this year. It's time for our annual E3 episode! After taking a pop into Super Hero Time, we dive into all the cool new games announced at 2017's E3. While it was few and far in between for some of the other conferences, Nintendo really hit it out of the park and gave us a lot to talk about this year. Regarding the announcement at the beginning of the episode, yes, this is the last weekly episode of RRR. We have been bringing this show weekly (ish...) for 7 years, and it's easy to say we're not the same people that started the show back in 2010. Interests change, jobs are acquired, families are made. All three of us are reaching new points in our lives, and we've all agreed that a step back is needed. Moving forward, RRR will more or less be a monthly show. Some months might be missing an episode, some months might have two episodes, but you can expect a new couple hour show when the biggest news hits, big cons end, or a show we love decides to conclude its season. This way, we know we'll have a show full of content, and less "Well, that was an episode..." moments. I know this news will be upsetting to some but fear not. We're not gone forever. For now, I'll try to get some backlog archives organized so you can check out some episodes from years past with relative ease. Season 3 and Season 4 have some classics. Had to go with the Pokemon reference for the title. Join Kevin and I as we embark on a discussion of why being a collector is hell, and why we're both starting to cut back. The Kamen Rider Build trademark sparks a little expectation discussion. Boy this one is a doozy. Not only do Kevin and I spend about 15 minutes talking about the Survivor finale, we also jump into the DCTV finales during Ramble Time ON TOP of fairly lengthy Kyuranger and Ex-Aid discussions WITH a fairly sizable news segment. THREE HOURS IT IS. Storytime though. I use Garageband to edit, and for some reason, it was giving me this really archaic 2GB limit error and refused to render. It took me two freaking days but I found a workaround, but at the expensive of the chapter markers. So, here's the story. This episode was recorded as normal, but Kevin couldn't make it. I took the next day and recorded segments with Kevin so he could sound off on the toy catalogs and episodes. Naturally this creates a bit of repeated discussion, but it's a fun time. I edited it in a way that makes it seem like one of them just stayed quiet the whole time, or I'm talking to someone with two different personalities.
