About
The Miami Dolphins began the offseason more than $50 million over the salary cap. Still, that number has shrunk to roughly $19 million after the team released linebacker Jerome Baker, who spent six years with the franchise. While the move saves Miami about $10 million against the salary cap, it also creates a major hole at inside linebacker.
Despite the team's salary cap issues, it didn't stop them from signing defensive tackle Isaiah Mack to a contract less than a week away from the new league year. General manager Chris Grier may not be done either, as reports surfaced that former Atlanta Falcons tight end Jonnu Smith signed with the team on Thursday — we recap all the latest news and notes ahead of free agency.
