The allure of the latest trends often masks the darker truths of the fashion world, but this episode pulls back the curtain, revealing the harsh realities of garment workers' exploitation and the environmental wreckage caused by our appetite for new clothes. Closing with personal reflections on our sustainability challenges, we underscore the profound impact that individual choices can have in the grander scheme of environmental well-being. Whether it's committing to a modest wardrobe, embracing secondhand gems, or simply pausing before the next impulsive buy, each step we take is a stitch in the fabric of a more sustainable future. This episode isn't just about changing how we dress; it's about changing how we live, one conscious choice at a time.

Guest Bio:
Emily Fenves created lander line in September 2021 after becoming burnt out with her own consumption habits. As a regular shopper, she found herself spending an exhaustive amount of time browsing, buying, returning, and purging. She embarked on a journey to learn more about the “why” behind her overconsumption, and decided to help others do the same. Upon her research, she discovered how environmentally damaging the fashion waste crisis is, and became an advocate for change. Through sharing her personal research with her audience, as well as partnering with ethical brands, change-makers, and non-profit organizations, lander line brings insight and hope to those who are inspired to reduce their carbon footprint through their personal consumption.
