Our journey today will be a pilgrimage with Mary, the Mother of Jesus, under her title Our Lady of Stono River. This Marian title is associated with the Stono Uprising which took place at Stono River, South Carolina in the U.S. on September 9, 1739. We will also discuss how Mary’s titles in many cultures is important for our faith, and advice on passing along our own cultural traditions to keep them alive.
