The Crayons Go Back to School tells us about The Crayons last days of summer and how they get prepared to return to school!!!
The first book tells the tale of the Easter Bunny 🐰 getting a little help from his friend, the Ostrich while he went back to Easter Egg 🥚 Land because he ran out of Easter eggs 🥚!!! The second story takes us through picture day preparations and the school day ahead for Faizah, her big sister Asiya and her friends!!!!
The first book is about Pete the Kitty helping his best friend, Stevie the Unicorn get his tail colors back in time to go to the dance and the second book is about what foods NOT to feed your animal friends!!!
The Proudest Blue 💙 is about a little girl and her big sister, Asiya and her blue hijab. It tells about their experience of going to school and being met with different people and their outlooks and opinions. In Little Leaders, we met Ida B. Wells and in Little Legends, we met Garrett Morgan!!!
Today, we learned about Arturo Schomburg and Charlotte E. Ray. Then, we went on an adventure with the crayons as they prepared to return back to school!!!!

The first book is about Little Wolf, who wants to do things his own way, which is backwards. The second one is about a little girl, Blanca. Her and her family moved from Argentina. She didn't speak English, so her and her friend, Diana talked to each other through drawing pictures.
Trombone Shorty is a story about a little boy that grew up in Louisiana. He loved music sssooo much that he started his own band as a little boy!!! Well. . . He grew up to become a famous musician with his OWN professional band, but when he goes home, he always tries to help the younger musicians the way his big brother helped him. Hush Songs is actually a book of African American lullabies. I read 2 different pieces from this book.
