REPLAY: The Outer Realm Welcomes Dennis Stone Discussion: America's Stonehenge!! Dennis Stone, owner of the enigmatic America's Stonehenge, located in southeastern New Hampshire. Dennis Stone is the president of America’s Stonehenge. He graduated from Daniel Webster College in 1977 with a degree in Aviation Management, and was a full-time commercial pilot for over 35 years before his retirement in 2016. America’s Stonehenge was opened to the public in 1958 by Dennis’s father, Robert Stone. Dennis has been involved with America’s Stonehenge for most of his life and has always had a fascination with archaeology and archaeoastronomy. Since retiring, Dennis has found many serpentine walls and spirit windows throughout the site, among other new discoveries. He has taken numerous courses and traveled extensively to ancient sites both in the U.S. and internationally. His family includes his wife Pat, his son Kelsey, and his daughter-in-law Katherine. His hobbies include traveling, boating, and classic cars The Site: Was this about the first place in the Americas where Native peoples engineered stone chambers and walls, or were they built by people from the Old World? Radiocarbon dating and students from Harvard and Penn State's astronomy depts confirm that the ceremonial centre and alignments were built about 2000 BC. This is long before Columbus so were people from the Old World sailing to America? There is evidence: the ibex petroglyph looks more like an African antelope than a North American white tailed deer. The corbelled ceiling is similar to Ireland's Newgrange and Scotland's Maes Howe tumuli. Why does it seem like the site was suddenly abandoned? There is almost no evidence of it being used as a necropolis. What was its function? What role do the alpacas play at the site? Tonight, “The Light Gate” welcomes researcher, presenter, hypnotherapist and author, Yvonne Smith, C.Ht. About The Guest: In 1991, Yvonne founded Close Encounter Resource Organization (CERO), a post-traumatic stress support group for individuals and families having trauma experiences. CERO has been recognized nationally and internationally by TV and radio. Yvonne became interested in victims of post-traumatic stress disorder (“PTSD”) in the late 1980s. Then, in 1990, after 2 years of studies and 1000 hours of internship at California Hypnosis Motivation Institute, the only accredited college of hypnotherapy in the United States, she received her hypnotherapy certification. Specializing in post-traumatic stress disorder cases, she uses her hypnotherapy skills to assist such victims to work through their anxiety, with many of her subjects referred to her by physicians and psychiatrists who believe her expertise can benefit their patients. Many such patients have been doctors, military personnel, domestic and foreign pilots, university professors, and many other backgrounds. While Yvonne has assisted many stress victims with military or traumatic early life situations, she points out that “PTSD” can also involve difficulties due to common situations such as traffic accidents and individuals who have experienced Close Encounters of the Fourth Kind. Some who have consulted Yvonne include a foreign air force pilot who flew to Los Angeles for sessions with Yvonne due to an experience which caused him unrelenting nightmares for many years, as well as a NATO officer with similar longtime anxiety due to previous military related exposure. In fact, it is not unusual for “military family” members to suffer anxiety due to concerns for their active service member. Yvonne has co-lectured on tour with Dr. John Mack, head of Harvard University’s psychiatry department, presenting lectures in the United States at M.I.T. and other universities. Yvonne has also lectured for several years at international conferences from South America to Europe, and enjoyed a conference with Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell, Major Robert Dean, and Nick Pope, former member of British Defense Department. LARRY ELMORE Illustrators of the Future Judge – Biography Leonard Elmore has been creating fantasy and science fiction art for more than forty years. After receiving a BFA degree from Western Kentucky, he married Betty Clemons and was drafted into the Army almost at the same time. In the 1970s he began freelancing and was published in a few magazines, including Heavy Metal and National Lampoon. After being contacted by TSR Inc., the company that produced the role-playing game Dungeons & Dragons, Larry worked there from 1981 to 1987. While at TSR, he helped set the standards for gaming art in the role-playing genre.
