About

Why does it hurt so much when someone we love dies? When someone we love leaves us through death, there are many emotions that are left to be digested. Healing takes form in many different ways, and did you know that grieving and mourning are two different facets of the healing journey?

Grieving is what we feel on the inside. It’s our thoughts, emotions and feelings. It’s the internal process of our perception of loss. Mourning on the other hand, is actionable. It’s the active steps that we take to honour and remember our loved one. It’s tangible steps of action that we take to help ourselves in healing, and this brings us to this particular episode right here, right now.

5 days ago from the date of this recording, I lost one of the loves of my life. Someone who’s my best friend and who came here to help me heal from deep hurts of the past, and also to realize and celebrate the present, and all of its many gifts. His name is Darwin and he came here on earth in the form of a bearded dragon.

Many of us will talk about our furry soul mates being a dog, cat, rabbit or maybe even a guinea pig or a horse perhaps. What about a soul mate in the form of a reptile? Do you realize just how much love a reptile has to give to humanity? I’m ever so grateful to be a soul who’s experienced this!

This episode is dedicated to a beautiful soul mate of mine who heard his calling to return back home. It was the calling of love’s light, and it was time. I am here to share with you about a beautiful reptile named Darwin, a wise soul who was communicative, funny, comical and ever so handsome!

What you are about to hear, I share with you from my heart, and my soul, in not only being able to release and actively mourn Darwin’s death, but hopefully to also normalize how we feel when we are grieving, and to open up the channels to be able to talk about this topic that we tend to hold deep inside.

To give ourselves the permission to feel the feelings and to allow them to flow in the best way for us, and mostly, to honour and remember our loved ones in spirit, and to be reminded that they are not gone, they’ve just changed form.

Please join me as we talk about Darwin the bearded dragon, hear stories of his life here on earth, and to unite together in healing from all of our losses of the ones we love so dearly.

Come walk this path with me and let’s actively mourn together.
