The narrative reveals contradictory statements, potential suspects, and the passage of time that has left the case unsolved for 35 years. Despite challenges and limited media coverage, the group tells the importance of not forgetting victims like Tyra Perry and others impacted by violence in Albuquerque. The story then describes advocacy groups' efforts, like the New Mexico Crusaders for Justice, and their collaboration in organizing a "honk and wave" event to draw attention to victims of violence and demand justice and change. The event's success in bringing together over 60 people, including family members of other victims, underscores the commitment of these advocates to seek resolution and raise awareness about the impact of violence on their communities.
