A SPOONFUL OF COURAGE DR. CHARLES PAGE PT 1 In this day and age in which we live, medical advancements are coming on us a rapid pace. Faster and more detailed. Because of this, medical facilities run sort of a “production line” of people in and out of the offices and hospitals. Gone are the days when doctors actually “knew ”their patients. And the patients trusted the doctor because they believed he understood them and did not treat them as line item on a spreadsheet. Now, there are doctors out there that do have those kinds of relationships with their patients. I’ve been fortunate to find one where I live that I’ve been with for 20+ years. Amen. Can you explain that term for us and how you use that to build that type of relationship with your patients? We were recently on vacation in Texas and my wife had forgotten one of her prescriptions. My doctor had given me his personal cell phone number and had told me to call if I ever needed anything outside of hours. I didn’t want to call him, so I texted him. He called back in 10 minutes and told me he had contacted the Pharmacy close to where we were at in Austin and phoned in the refill. I did not have to go through six voice mail messages and hope someone would call me back. That’s one reason I have stayed with him for over 20 years. I enlisted in September of my senior year and left for basic training 7 days after graduation. But yours took a little different route, correct? What was your MOS in the Army? When I left service, I thought I would be able to get a job fairly quickly – but soon found out that was not the case. As I was contemplating my unique skill set, I realized there was not much opportunity for someone whose skill set was being trained to engage and destroy and make the other guy die for his country. Despite the leadership training, detailed planning, etc., it took me quite a while to find a good paying job. When you left service, you also found it a little difficult to get a job, correct? It took me quite a while to actually make the mindset transition from the military mindset to a civilian mindset. I’m talking about, “Something needs to be done – just do it.” Mission accomplishment, no matter how small the mission. In the civilian sector, it seemed like they were living by the adage of “Let’s put off till tomorrow that which could be accomplished today.” Did you find the same thing? VETERANS SUCCESS CLUB JOE O’CONNOR At the age of 14 Joe O’Connor was involved in a serious near fatal road incident that left him in a wheelchair for a year. But you say this book focuses on the “individuality” of those left behind. What do you mean by that? Let’s take on the subject of “pets.” What has your research found concerning “pets going to Heaven?” What about women who are pregnant when the Rapture occurs? We used to “One Nation Under God” – but we are far, far from that now. That must have been what it was like for Israel as well, right? What about the Synagogues? They were supposed to be local gathering places where the people could have easy access to and hear the Word taught, etc. Much like our local churches are today. Was that a contributing factor to split into factions? It would be like the Catholics and Protestants and Methodists and Baptists, etc.? Right? Scott, this is so interesting. But more importantly, it can destroy the Faith of a nation. We have seen it happen with Israel, as Scott has shared. We have seen it happen here, in this nation as well. We used to be “One Nation Under God.” Now, that statement is far from being true anymore. As sad as that sounds, it can be fixed. It cannot be fixed in the natural. You cannot rely on Congress to “fix it.” It has to start with our hearts. I’m talking about our Spiritual Hearts. We have to start with our relationship with God. It is not only a problem in major metropolitan cities, but it literally crosses all social and economic boundary’s. I know. I was addicted to pain killers a few back after almost 7 years of use. My father had a drug problem. One of my brothers as well. Your first program is called “R.I.O.T,” which stands for “Royal Identity Outreach Training.” You also have the “Identity School,” and the “Prophetic School.” Let’s start with RIOT. I love that name…Tell us what RIOT is all about? Is this the first step in your training curriculum? Like a “basic course” before students more to the next class, “Identity School?” Let’s move on to “Identity School.” I take this is to help the believer become more aware of “who they are in Christ?” Then we have the “Prophetic School.” From what I’ve seen on some of the video testimonies, you’re teaching folks how to, basically, “hear from God” on a deeper level and be able to communicate those messages to others? I know you offer these classes as stand-alone classes. But do you recommend they start with the RIOT course first? What is the format for these courses? I know they can be taken online or in person. But you recommend in person, if at all possible, right? What is the cost of these courses? Do you have your own church or ministry that these programs are a part of? Cameron, this is so interesting – and so needful in this day and time in which we live today.
