We are totally psyched to welcome Joe Symes & The Loving Kind! The band are currently finishing their upcoming third album Portmanteau, which is scheduled for release in early 2024. This has been preceded by the video It’s All Too Late – a track taken from the album – which was uploaded live on YouTube on the 29th September. This song has already had international airplay, and reached number 2 in one of the major Rock charts in Australia (Banks Radio Australia Valley FM 85.9), as number 4 in one of the UK’s (The Chart of Gold). Two tracks from their first ep appeared on the Charity Compilation "Shoulder to Shoulder" alongside tracks by Paul Weller, Ocean Colour Scene, Roger McGuinn (The Byrds), Robyn Hitchcock, Noel Gallagher, Peter Noone (Herman’s Hermits) and Wishbone Ash. This collection was organised by David Quaife, whose brother Pete was the original bass player of the British rock legends The Kinks. Oh, what a night! Our guest is legendary, superbly talented guitar player Michael Staertow. He is currently a member of the legendary band, The Guess Who, which is currently gearing up to release its latest creation, Plein D’Amour. Band members Derek Sharp, Michael Staertow, Leonard Shaw, Michael Devin, and founding member, Garry Peterson have crafted a collection of songs that raises the bar and continues to take things up a notch both musically and sonically. Before The Guess Who, Michael was the guitarist for Lou Gramm. Michael is one of only a few guitar players to work with Lou Gramm, the voice of “Hot Blooded,” “Head Games,” “Juke Box Hero,” “I Want to Know to What Love Is” and other signature songs of the classic-rock era. That makes him a full-fledged member of a significant guitar-playing fraternity that also includes Foreigner founder Mick Jones, Nils Lofgren and Vivian Campbell. Avondale Estates resident, Cara Consilvio, is a female director and producer of opera, film, and theater. Consilvio produced and directed mini-documentaries for the NEA Opera Honors, NEA Jazz Masters videos, OPERA America, and the American Composers Orchestra. Her latest project is “For the Love of Friends,” a documentary chronicling activist Brent Nicholson Earle's 10,000-mile run around the country in 20 months to bring awareness to the AIDS epidemic. The documentary will be airing for the first time on Public Broadcast Stations on June 1st.

Lynn Barker was born in New Mexico, was a college journalism student of famous writer of Navajo mysteries Tony Hillerman and was an associate producer of KRON t.v. news in San Francisco until moving to L.A. where she was Manager for the CBS Network Story Department before writing scripts for the 1980's reboot of "The Twilight Zone". Other Writers Guild of America credits include "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine". Her articles have appeared in "American Cinematographer" and the WGA magazine "Written By:" and she has a story in the "Chicken Soup for the Soul of America" book. Lynn was an MPAA-accredited Hollywood entertainment journalist for several websites. Writing experience also includes show scripts for Disney Imagineering and Universal theme park attractions. She is a script doctor and screenplay consultant. Lynn's latest work is as co-author of "Futurus Rex" a compact, fast-moving Sci-Fi/Fantasy adventure novel written with the late Dorothy (D.C.) Fontana, an iconic writer/story editor on the original “Star Trek” series as well as a New York Times bestselling author. Futurus Rex is available on Amazon.
Mathew Klickstein is a multi-platform storyteller who consistently works in the formats of: reportage, non-fiction books and novels, ghostwriting, filmmaking, episodical television, live theatre, public speaking, comic book creation, audiobook originals, and podcasting. Klickstein was the writer of the 2009 American horror film Against the Dark, starring Steven Seagal and served as a casting producer on Food Network's Restaurant: Impossible from 2013 until the series ended in 2016. Born in California, Mathew was a prolific writer at a young age, penning his first novel at 13. A high-achieving student in high school, Mathew formed and ran various academic clubs while working on local congressional campaigns and for the ACLU. US Navy veteran Dennis Medbury began writing as a device to help him sleep. After 14 years of service he had developed PTSD which led to insomnia. Rather than take medication he would start thinking up a story to help him sleep, changing characters and plots when he didn't like how they were going. Medbury describes it as The Secrets of the Runestones series is a product of me taking a debilitating condition and turning it into something positive. The characters are all dear to my heart. Writing fantasy involves a great deal of thought and research. Trade routes, monetary systems, government and religions are just some of the things you need to think about before you get to the fun stuff like swords and magic. I believe I put in the effort, and created a story that anyone can enjoy. We are happy to welcome him to the genie bottle!
