Dieter Roth Verlag: Music, Friends and Family This radio program digs into the musical work of artist Dieter Roth and the people surounding him throughout his life in Iceland and Switzerland. Though Roths practice is well established in the history of western art institutions, his musical works and imprint, “Dieter Roth Verlag”, remain lesser known chapters in the stories of his practice. Throughout an hour, the program showcases work from artists such as André Thomkins, Vera Roth, Hermann Nitsch, Colette Roper, Nam June Paik and more. The Program is produced by artist, Frederik Heidemann during a residency at Skaftfell Art Center in Seyðisfjörður, and co-broadcast by Seyðisfjörður Community Radio and The Lake Radio.

We enter February with singing into transmission in only a couple of minutes, the zerspannungs- modulator is all turned up in the warehouse in Utrecht, where the morsing code arrives like a prophecy, and is human like us. We throw our desperate wish into the universe in the hopes that we’ll be heard and helped. Everyone needs a base, a home, a safe place where they can rest, thrive and reload their battery. In a fair society, perhaps matriarch, this would be a human right. I wish for capitalism to be destroyed by aliens. I wish to dismantle the power of all leaders in this world. "Tell, No Show" is an ongoing series of works for radio in which we ask an artist to present a piece of art that has, in one way or another, had an impact on their practice. In this third episode, you will have the pleasure of listening to the artist Nancy Lupo. Nancy will take us to Florence and into the Pitti Palace, the former home of the notorious Medici family. In the Pitti Palace, Nancy seeks out a set of ivory objects turned on a lathe into the shape of cups, vases, or trophies. These ivory objects are dated to the 16th century and were commissioned by the Medici family, which leads Nancy to contemplate the notion of soft power in the Renaissance versus today. Nancy Lupo is an artist who primarily works as a sculptor. She is currently residing in Los Angeles, where she teaches at UCLA. "Tell, No Show" is an ongoing series of works for radio in which we ask an artist to present a piece of art that has, in one way or another, had an impact on their practice. In this second episode, you will have the pleasure of listening to artist Jeuno Kim, who will introduce us to a performance only experienced once, quite some time ago, by the American artist, filmmaker, and choreographer Yvonne Rainer, under the title "Again? What Now?” performed by the Swedish dance company Weld at Malmø Kunsthal. This episode is therefore an exercise in both memory and an attempt to transform a durational physical experience into a coherent piece of language. Through shifts in texts, mediums, career paths, and ways of loving, Jeuno takes us through the importance of good teachers, privilege, ice skating, coming out later in life, as well as the unfortunate piece of music, “Bolero." Jeuno Kim is an artist, filmmaker, and feminist theologist. She is also the head of the MBA program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen.
