In this Easter Sunday sermon on John 20 we look at Thomas. Often times people use Thomas as a example of what not to do. Don't doubt, Gods got it. But doubt comes to us all more likely than we'd like to admit. But there's more to Thomas, and there's more to this story. Find out why Thomas needs to see a scarred God, and why we need Him now more than ever. We pray that God has drawn closer to you in this sermon on John 20. Please consider subscribing to our channel. It's so hard to acknowledge that you need help. But it's even harder to ask for help if you're able to accept that you need it. Where does our help come from? Jesus gives us a window into this in the upper room. He says the helper is coming , but first He must leave us for a while. Would you rather see Jesus face to face or have The Helper indwelling you. Jesus says the helper is better. But do we really believe that? We pray that God has drawn closer to you in this sermon on John 16. Please consider subscribing to our channel. The way that Jesus talks about discipleship is different than the way we think about discipleship. We might hear people ask "How do I find eternal life in Jesus?" But what if someone asked... "How do I find new life in Jesus right now?" Well... the answer is easier than you might think. Because God is close to you even know. He's lifting you up, holding you, and pruning you so that you will be a branch that bears good fruit! We pray that God has drawn closer to you in this sermon on John 14. It's hard to imagine the humiliation of this scene where Jesus steps up from the table and wraps towel around his waist and begins to wash the disciples feet. There's just no modern contextual equivalent. It's quite literally the most scandalous and shocking thing Jesus could have done that night. In this sermon on John 13 we look at why Jesus humiliates himself to wash his disciples feet, and why it's so hard to follow this footwashing God. The downward spiral of Judges culminates in this story. It's hard to read. There was no King in Israel, and everyone did what was right in their own eyes. Where that led them was so dark, so barbaric, and so horrific. The writer wants us to sit and fully understand the depths of evil that have overtaken the people of God. In the midst of all that depravity and evil, Jesus calls out to us in the silent sacrifice of the woman in this story. Join us on the journey to study the scripture and grow closer to Christ. The story of Samson has been told by the likes of veggie tales and C.S. Lewis, but is by no standard "Safe for the whole family". In this sermon on Judges 16 we see God extending grace to Samson in his death. As we look to find Jesus in this passage it may be hard to see. Where is the "good news" in this story? Where is the gospel? Where is Jesus? He is the better Samson. So Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up! It's easy to think that this obscure story in the book of Judges is kind of random. Is there no balm in Gilead? Well, yes! His name is Jesus! The story of Gideon. You probably remember it as a story about what you can accomplish with just a little faith. But its actually a story about putting to death the idol of self! Judges 4 begins... "the people of Israel did what was evil in the sight of the LORD...(so) the LORD sold them into the hand of the king of Canaan". In this story of vengeance and violence you might ask, "how does this passage point to Jesus"? It might be hard to see, but in this story, God is keeping His promise to bring a savior to crush the head of the serpent! Judges tells the story of what happens when God's people lay aside God's mission. It's the tragic tail of Israel's downward spiral into spiritual decay and corruption. The Word. It's a lamp unto our feet. A light to our path. It was in the beginning. It was with God. John is killed in this passage for doing what he was born to do! That is call people to repent and follow God. Many questions could be asked about this. Like, "Why didn't God protect John?" or "Why did God punish Him for doing His will?" But a better question is "What does this passage mean for you?" Find out with us as we dive into Matthew 14:1-12. We pray you'll be encouraged by this sermon from Matthew 14 as we conclude our Advent sermon series "Prepare The Way". Why does God not heal His people when they call on His name? This is surely the question in John's mind when he he asks Jesus "Are You The One?" And why wouldn't Jesus deliver John of all people? Instead John remains in prison and dies a horrible death. These are the hardest of questions but we can begin to unravel the "why" in Matthew 11. We pray you'll be encouraged by this sermon from Matthew 11 as we continue our sermon series "Prepare The Way". John speaks for the first time when he calls the Pharisees a "brood of vipers" in Luke 3. It's an interesting way to start your ministry. Or is it? John is preparing the way for the Lord. He's calling people to repentance and he knows they only have a little time left! How much time do you have left? God is calling you today to make way for Him in your heart and life. what are you waiting for? We pray you'll be encouraged by this sermon from Luke 1. Two Mothers, begin a conversation and one of the babies "leapt for joy". This was a supernatural moment. One of these babies was who would be "John the Baptist". The other was Christ himself. So tiny in His mothers womb, maybe just an inch long. But these women, filled with the Spirit, knew exactly what was happening, and the significance of these two children not yet born. God breaks His 400 year silence with, of all things, a birth announcement? This, however, is no ordinary baby. He was born to prepare the way for the Lord as the prophet Isaiah foretold. But this story is actually about Zachariah, his father. We find an incredibly encouraging message 2000 years later buried just under the surface of this story! Many of us have fathers who have abandoned, or abused us, and we have trouble relating to God as our Father. Many of us have mothers who never gave us love or affirmation and so it may be hard to hear Paul's words in Galations 4 that the church is our mother. Especially when so many of us have been hurt by the church in addition to all this. But what Paul is talking about here is not what you may have experienced. It's a beautiful picture of what God wants the church to be. Follow us on our journey to know and love God and to be transformed to be more like Him. The spiritual realm. An invisible evil. The spiritual dimension. We have a hard time with these things don't we? Its easier to just live in the dimension you can see and explain away everything as coincidence, chance, or luck right? But God has placed us on the front lines of a battle that is fought in a dimension we can't see, with weapons that seem powerless to us, with eternal consequences. And we better be ready. Kill the Dragon, Get the Girl, Rule the World. That's how some would describe the story of the Bible. Except in the real story, the bride was seduced by the Dragon and he ruined her, she drifted, became homeless and broken. She became a harlot and gave herself over and over to lovers who hated her. She wouldn't listen to the bridegroom, or perhaps she just couldn't imagine a love so great for a bride like her could be true. But it is!! In this sermon from 1 Corinthians 12 we look at the kind of diversity and complexity that God intends for His Church. Paul uses this "body" analogy in a different way than it was being used by the Roman Empire to totally upend the status quo of thinking about class structure, power, and influence. We kick off a new sermon series "The Church" talking about the "Family of God" As we dig into Ephesians 2 we see the family of God. A blended family of former enemies. What can we learn from this dysfunctional family? Find out in this sermon on Ephesians 2 and join us on our journey to know, and walk with God.

How can I not be controlled by your past? How can I let go? Maybe you think you don't need to? How can I let go of what I don't even realize I'm holding on to? How do I forgive? In Matthew 18 Jesus is talking to a man looking for answers about forgiveness. Jesus sees that his heart is actually unwilling to forgive. Forgiveness is hard isn't it? But it's time to let go. You're not punishing the person who hurt you by your unforgiveness. You're only hurting yourself. We pray you'll find that forgiveness will transform every aspect of your life! And that you'll find your identity in the one who has forgiven you and not by what evil that's been done to you. In this Sermon about forgiveness we look again at Luke 15, the story of the prodigal son. This story is full of wisdom, and one of the things God is trying to tell us is, that forgiveness is not a soft option. It is an obligation of grace that God has shown us. We see ourselves a certain way but the Father sees us differently. We pray you'll, not only be encouraged by this sermon about forgiveness, but that you'll resolve to forgive those who have wronged you.
