Shorties Mini Pre-rolled Cannabis Joints Launch in Arizona

Shorties Mini Pre-rolled Cannabis Joints https://shortiesusa.com/Launch in Arizona and we learn more with Greta Brandt, President, The Flower Shop (TFS Brands). According to BDSA data, pre-rolls represent 11% of Arizona’s robust market sales— totaling $97.87M in cannabis products sold so far in 2022. But for the majority of occasional cannabis users, half-gram or full-gram pre-rolls may be too much to finish in one sitting. And FYI, relighting a used doobie does NOT taste or hit well. Enter Shorties, the Arizona-founded mini pre-roll brand bringing .35 gram pre-rolled joint to the cannabis market— and Grand Canyon State cannabis consumers get the first dibs. Smaller even than most “dogwalker” joints (usually sized at .5g), Shorties’ petite format encourages solo adventures or smoking seshes with friends without swapping germs in a post-pandemic world. These fun-sized fatties come in tins of 10 miniature joints with a rotating lineup of 45 exceptional strains. In addition, Shorties is ready to meet Arizona’s demand for strain-specific mini pre-roll joints with the Juana Roll, which produces up to 4,000 perfectly rolled and filled joints an hour. PAMAP (Predictive Analytical Modeling Application for Plants

Grassroots Marketing speaks with Michael Dalle Molle, Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Mariposa Technology  http://www.mariposatechnology.com  Mariposa Technology has developed for hemp and marijuana farmers a digital farming tool that leverages a powerful database and proprietary software that allows them to test their crops at any stage of the growing season, without having to cut any samples. This revolutionary protocol for rapid, in-field testing of live hemp plants, called PAMAP (Predictive Analytical Modeling Application for Plants), brings farmers the power of self-testing with a handheld device at a fraction of the cost or time of traditional lab testing, with accurate and immediate results.  Mariposa partnered with researchers at Texas A&M University, who found they can use a technique called Raman spectroscopy (RS) to determine the difference between hemp and marijuana in a non-invasive, non-destructive way. This proprietary database, used in conjunction with RS, allows farmers to test crop THC levels and plant gender without disturbing the plant. Current testing methods require farmers to cut a sample of their crop and ship it into a lab, costing time and money. The PAMAP method simply requires the grower to point the device at their crops.  Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Grassroots Marketing welcomes PANGEA Global Technologies CEO Bryan Fried who has researched integrating light and technology to build sustainable grow facilities for both weed and watermelons.   Pangea Global Technologies (PGT), the company bridging the gap between cannabis and agriculture growth success thanks to the company’s revolutionary Pangea software—an open architecture and wireless horticulture lighting platform that collects all sorts of plant growth data, including temperature, humidity, soil content, and more, and can automate reactive actions, like watering, turning lights off or creating alerts.  We discuss how indoor farming could play a critical role in helping to meet the world's growing demand for food, especially given the challenges of shrinking farmable acres, which sets investors up for a lot of growth as companies expand their farming operations.   Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

A Hyper Focus on Indoor Commercial Cannabis Cultivation

We speak to Whipple Effect's CEO Jack Whipple and his dedication to the plant and his steadfast belief that cannabis is a plant medicine that should be used as a "revolution to the consciousness of humanity"  Whipple Effect's CEO Jack Whipple is a serial entrepreneur who has been working with the cannabis plant since the age of 15. Growing up in Indiana with a lawyer mom and the Chief Justice of the Indiana Supreme Court as his grandfather, cannabis was a serious taboo and not at all accepted by his family. This eventually led to Jack being sent to a correctional school in Provo, Utah. Nevertheless, Jack believed his mission was to work with cannabis and continued to stay the course. He started his first business in Boulder, CO, just three weeks after Amendment 64 had been instated, which allowed for recreational wholesale of flower by a stand-alone cultivation facility. As soon as Proposition 64 passed in California, legalizing recreational cannabis, Jack opened a cultivation facility there. Jack was a founding COO of five cultivation facilities before starting Whipple Effect. He is a cultivation expert who also has experience with licensing, compliance, capital raises, distribution, and M&A work.  Jack’s dedication to the plant and his steadfast belief that cannabis is a plant medicine that should be used as a "revolution to the consciousness of humanity" has allowed him to continue his life's work as a pioneer in the emerging global cannabis industry. He is also a certified breathwork practitioner and Reiki healer, and is a passionate advocate for psychedelics, viewing cannabis as one of the sacred psychedelic plant medicines. The State of the Cannabis Insurance Market

Grassroots Marketing deep dives into the state of the cannabis insurance market with Tony McIntosh, President of Aura Risk https://aurarisk.com/ about the launch of AURA’S INDISURE CANNABIS PROGRAM https://aurarisk.com/programs/indisure-cannabis-insurance-program/ Demand for cannabis is increasing dramatically. THIRTY-EIGHT STATES https://www.brookings.edu/blog/fixgov/2022/09/27/congressional-candidates-silence-on-cannabis-reform/ and the District of Columbia (D.C.) have legalized some form of medical marijuana. Recreational marijuana is legal in 19 STATES https://www.brookings.edu/blog/fixgov/2022/09/27/congressional-candidates-silence-on-cannabis-reform/ and D.C. The division between state and federal status makes it difficult for businesses to receive inclusive, affordable coverage and often leaves policyholders with restrictive plans. Cannabis-related businesses (CRBs) face many risks and obstacles. CRBs share the same general liability and other risks agricultural and manufacturing businesses face. This includes workplace accidents, damage to property and crop failure. CRBs are especially prone to fires from both wild and internal sources. Some of the biggest risks involve theft, general liability and product liability. Companies functioning within state legality face severe banking restrictions due to federal regulations. It is estimated that APPROXIMATELY 70% https://www.newdawnrisk.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/Cannabis_report-FINAL.pdf of CRBs operate solely as a cash-only business and have no formal relationship with a bank. As a result, CRBs may be forced to handle large sums of cash, subjecting them to a higher risk of theft and increased liability. Weedgets: The Tesla of Smoking Devices

Grassroots Marketing looks into Weedgets: The Tesla of Smoking Devices with Michael Barenboym, the CEO of WEEDGETS http://www.WEEDGETS.com (Advanced Leaf Technologies Group). Flower lovers have been making and using dry bowls for decades. (A dry bowl or dry pipe is a smoking piece that doesn’t use water) Whether you’ve hollowed out an apple core or picked up a glass piece at a gas station near you, a dry herb pipe is one of the easiest and most reliable ways to smoke weed.  What it’s not, however, is gentle. Dry bowls are known for harsh, throat-scorching hits that leave you coughing. While it’s a fair tradeoff for many in exchange for getting high, the smoking experience could be seriously improved. Enter the Maze-X pipe from Weedgets. This pipe is specially designed with patented filtration and cooling technology that gives you an incredibly smooth smoking experience, no water needed. The Maze-X pipe measures in at 5.5” inches long and is made of three parts: the bowl, the body, and the mouthpiece.  The bowl is borosilicate glass, with several small holes in the bottom instead of one large one. It’s the only breakable piece of this pipe and sits in a medical-grade silicone wrap. Ingeniously, the Maze-X has a cap for the bowl, a small piece of silicone that fits snugly over the bowl and is connected to the rest of the body, so you won’t lose it when you take it off to smoke.  Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy

Full Digitization of Certificates of Analysis (COAs) in the Cannabis Supply Chain

We discuss the Full Digitization of Certificates of Analysis (COAs) in the Cannabis Supply Chain with Larry Levy, the CEO of Lucid Green http://www.lucidgreen.io The company’s intelligent UPC aims to reduce cost and increase transparency in all parts of the supply chain, from growers to brands to retailers to consumers. With Lucid Green’s system, aptly called LucidID, products use one barcode from seed to consumer. Cultivators and brands can use this barcode to upload and access test results and compliance certifications. In addition, retailers can use it for real-time inventory management and building loyalty programs with shoppers. Because this happens with one label, Lucid Green says this system eliminates the tedious process of affixing new labels to product packaging. Legal cannabis is highly regulated and requires numerous checks along the route to the consumer. The retailer or dispensary is often saddled with extra work around affixing specific labels to different products as regulations change, increasing labor costs and reducing revenues. Lucid Green claims its data suggests the LucidID system can save retailers up $10,000 a month. Other companies offer similar solutions around QR codes but lack the comprehensive benefits found with LucidID. For example, some brands use QR codes to give consumers more information. Others use QR codes for inventory tracking. Lucid Green says the closest competitor comes from pharmaceutical companies, though most stop short of letting consumers access the information available to pharmacies. AI Pest & Disease Detection for Agriculture and Cannabis

Talking AI Pest & Disease Detection on Grassroots Marketing with Valeria Kogan, Founder & CEO of Fermata http://www.fermata.tech... Since the advent of agriculture, growers have been at war with pests and diseases bent on the destruction of their crops. As technology has evolved however, farmers focused on increasing their yields by mitigating these losses now have a new weapon in their arsenal: artificial intelligence. Croptimus™ by Fermata, utilizes computer vision to precisely identify pests & disease across a variety of crops including leafy greens, tomato seedlings, and medicinal plants — well before they become a serious threat. As early detection of pests and pathogens is key to ensuring both the quality and quantity of a harvest, Cultivatd immediately saw the value in offering Croptimus™ to their greenhouse and indoor farm clients. Fermata is focused on the application of data science and computer vision solutions to challenges faced by commercial agriculture. Engaged in extensive research since the company’s inception in 2019, Fermata has now developed an adaptive computer vision platform designed to automatically detect pests and diseases at their earliest stages. Ayr Wellness Cultivating in a Challenging California Cannabis Market

Grassroots Marketing discusses Ayr Wellness /AyrWellness.comCultivating in a Challenging California Cannabis Market with their SVP of Cultivation, Mark Bruno. A legacy grower with decades-long roots in the most competitive cannabis market in the country (California), Mark Bruno has successfully scaled Ayr’s cultivation operations across eight states and 18 cultivation and production sites to a 1.2M sq. ft. canopy. He’s known for being able to make nearly any growing situation work regardless of the facility layout. While Ayr integrates technology and analytics, he is a firm believer that less is more and believes every good grower should be able to find workarounds for nearly any situation. A husband, father and son of a legacy grower, he has witnessed the ups and downs of pre- and post-state legalization in the U.S. and the rocky California market up close. Over the years, he has watched friends and family members be imprisoned under prohibition and continues to serve as a vocal advocate for the overturning of outdated laws. Now at the helm of a major U.S. cannabis operator, Mark’s philosophy is positioning Ayr Wellness as a premier cannabis cultivator in the U.S. Advertising Inquiries: https://redcircle.com/brands Privacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
