In the nearly six months of war most of the Gaza Strip, swollen with over a million refugees, is heavily damaged with large swaths of urban areas destroyed and riddled with a vast network of destroyed Hamas tunnels. Many say it is uninhabitable for the near future even if or when efforts start to rebuild begin. Sinai is the solution. Joel Roskin, a professor at the department of environment, sustainability and planning at Bar Ilan University, has proposed turning northern Sinai into at least a place on earth the Gazans could settle, even temporarily, as it is an integral part of the Levant with ample water sources and extensive infrastructure already laid by the Egyptians. Reporter Arieh O’Sullivan spoke to Roskin about the prospects of the Sinai solution. (photo: AP) See omnystudio.com/listener https://omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The leaders of the Israeli delegation to the ceasefire and hostage release talks in Qatar have returned to Israel while the other members of the delegation remained in Doha.
