In recent months, migrants seeking protection - or opportunity - in the US have congregated in makeshift camps beside the border in California. Now a judge is deciding if the federal government is responsible for the welfare of children in the camps.


Counties across California now have to gear up for an overhaul of the state’s mental health system – this after voters passed Proposition 1 by a really thin margin. He’s a neuroscientist and psychiatrist based in San Francisco. He’s also the former director of the National Institute of Mental Health and author of the book “Healing: Our Path from Mental Illness to Mental Health.”
