You find all the reasons to justify why you stay and continue talking yourself into all the reasons why you can't leave.  As someone who knows what it's like to feel stuck; knowing I wanted to get out 3 years into our relationship yet staying for over 10... raising a daughter as a "family" and not wanting to take that away from her- yet she was witness to a relationship that was NOT the example of what love and happiness looked like. Not having the financial stability to go out on my own and not wanting to move back in with my parents; telling myself one day i'll get out just not today. Now that i'm out and happily married to my best friend I look back and think of how many years I allowed myself to be unhappy and for what? I know it was not as simple as just leaving, but I also know that if I would have focused on the reasons why I needed to get out rather than how i'm going to get out, I would have saved myself and my daughter a lot sooner. Regardless, I got out and I want to help you or someone you know get out too!  I'm not saying I want to tear down relationships, I believe in marriage and not giving up just because things get hard; however, there is a difference between fighting for your relationship and fighting for your freedom; sometimes even fighting for your life. \\ SAVE YOURSELF FIRST- WHY PUTTING ON YOUR OWN OXYGEN MASK, IN THIS CASE TAKING TIME TO TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, IS JUST AS, IF NOT MORE IMPORTANT, THAN TAKING CARE OF EVERYONE ELSE--YOU MATTER TOO!

We are all guilty of it. We tend to put ourselves last on the to-do list. What we often fail to realize is what we are taking away from our own health, wellness, sanity, and happiness.  There is no reason that self-care needs to be 1. a big lengthy type of event or 2. something we feel guilty about and 3. something that is seldom and/or non-existent!  We cannot fully and functionally take care of others if we cannot first take care of ourselves. It's so true! Burn out is real. Stress is real. If we continue to go down this path of self-destruction, we are not only hurting ourselves, but we are hurting those around us---and HELLO!! The whole point of us getting so stressed out is because we want to avoid hurting those who matter most to us. Here's the thing... we can only handle so much before we break. When we break, everything else around us breaks. Same is true when we take care of our mental health and well-being.  Stop feeling guilty for taking the necessary time to be with yourself! We all need it, and you are no different. Stop talking yourself out of it or saying you are a bad person for thinking about yourself. You are being anything but selfish!  Don't let your tower become so weak it falls over time and time again. While building is tenacious and empowering... you can only keep building the same failed structure time and time again before you hit a breaking point. \\ FOLLOWING YOUR PASSION AND FINDING YOUR NICHE WHEN YOU‘RE MULTI-PASSIONATE

Seriously, one of the hardest things I've found to do is niching down. To niche down so specifically though, you need to really dig deep into who you are and find your ONE true passion! AGH! How frustrating this can be at times when you have so many life experiences and knowledge you feel pulled towards. How difficult it is to get so specific in your passion without feeling like you don't fit it. BINGO! The key here is to do what you are most passionate about without worrying about judgement or "fitting in." Know why?! Because your niche and your tribe will be drawn to you because believe it or not, you're not the only one!  So many, not all, but many others, have experienced your similar story or can relate in some way. The beauty is, you can take the pressure off of feeling like you have to please everyone---- selling to all is selling to NO ONE! Take some time to reflect on yourself and your memories to really find your true passion; the thing that keeps you up at night, the thing that people always come to you for, and that thing that has made a difference in your life.  It. Homeschooling. It's on the rise, all thanks to COVID. While some families have been left no other choice, other families are exploring the flexibility, choices, and quality of options for their child's education. Obviously homeschooling isn't a new idea; however, it is becoming more main stream. Which is great because there are a lot more resources and communities who are embracing homeschool families. Now is the best time to delve into the world of homeschooling... but how? I'm sure that is one of many questions, naturally. We are going to throw it all out on the table today as I share our personal experience with homeschooling for the last 2 years. Mind you, neither my husband and I were homeschooled and we didn't start fresh; we started with our 14 year old daughter who was entering the 8th grade (YIKES!) Suffice it to say, it was a successful year and we are happily going at it again, having mixed up the curriculum a bit (one of the perks of homeschooling) and continue to be satisfied with our decision to homeschool for the 2nd year. Our 15 year old daughter who is now a freshman has also actually embraced it. It's not as hard as you think, the steps are in place, and it's actually fun picking and choosing and tailoring an education for child based on their interests, learning styles, and values. In this crazy life we often find ourselves:  -Pushing the limits, holding ourselves and others to high expectations (often leading to disappointment), sleeping less, eating more, making excuses, battling chronic health issues, yo-yo dieting, feeling lost and consumed by all the things, trying to cope with our mental health, pleasing everyone else, apologizing, saying "yes," etc...  Any of this sound familiar? Sadly, I know for many of us, a lot of it feels all too familiar.  We push ourselves so far, expecting too much from ourselves, trying to please other people and worrying way too much about opinions, drama, and other things that don't serve us; it's TOXIC! We are under so much stress this day in age and we are put on auto-pilot and expected to just go through the motions and push through because why? It's become normal to be stressed out...  It's become normal to become numb to problems sleeping, migraines, anxiety, irritability, eating poorly, being sedentary, medications, etc etc etc.  You see?! We need to change this, your health is at risk! So many of the problems we face cause stress and we allow ourselves to fall into the trap and although we can't completely eliminate it, we CAN slow it down and refocus on how we react to it.  It's time to clean up and get rid of the toxins. Today we discuss ways that you can begin to eliminate stress and illness and improve your health and your mood and your well-being- for YOU! \\ STOP LETTING THE REST OF THE WORLD DEFINE YOU! LEARN HOW TO EMBRACE ALL OF YOU AND BE YOUR OWN BEAUTIFUL!

All too often we find our minds going to a negative place when it comes to our bodies. It's so easy to pick out our flaws. There are days when we are feeling ourself, but then the next day we are grabbing at our rolls, sucking in our bellies, and imaging what a dose of Botox would do to our wrinkles.  It's HARD. SO HARD! To just accept ourselves for where we are, because even on our best day, we still want to look and feel better. It takes time and it takes more than just a diet and exercise to boost your confidence.  I know it sounds confusing, but you need to learn to love yourself right where you are; flaws and all, before you will ever begin to find the confidence you are looking for. You have to train your mind even harder than you have to train your body to see results! How many times do you stand in the mirror and have a shame-fest with yourself? That has nothing to do with your physical appearance. It's all in your head. 24.75 [FEEL GOOD FRIDAY] PERMISSION TO INDULGE, GRANTED!

Why do we feel guilty when we want to treat ourselves? We often find ourselves making excuses, talking ourselves out of it, or we just feel like if we indulge, we are going backwards... NOT TRUE! Life is too short not to! We can't expect to make the progress we need, physically and mentally, if we let ourselves think that breaking the rules now and again is bad.  I know, it's hard. When you feel like you're on track with your health and fitness the last thing you want to do is "ruin" it. Let me tell ya, an ice cream cone or candy bar once and awhile isn't going to "ruin" anything. If anything, you're going to lose your sanity for always telling yourself "No" and "you can't." It's okay to enjoy yourself and the pleasures of life. It's only when we deprive ourselves that we start to lose control, not the other way around! So go ahead; give yourself permission to indulge a little this weekend. You don't need any other reason than, you can, you deserve to, and it's all going to be okay! -XO Stacy

21.5 [FEEL GOOD FRIDAY] WHO REMEMBERS PEN PALS AND GRANDMA'S CURSIVE? WRITING FOR FUN, EXPRESSION, AND NOSTALGIA!

Does anyone write each other anymore?! Do you miss trying to decipher Grandma's cursive? What ever happened to hand written letters?! I don't know about you, but I'm pretty sure my mailbox is only home to bills and junk mail these days. Very rarely, and usually around birthdays and holidays (and even then it's slim) do we ever see a pretty envelope that catches my interest.  Writing is such a good release and can be a great way to express emotion to those we have lost touch with, those we have lost, and those we care about. \\ HOW TO PICK YOURSELF BACK UP WHEN YOU HIT A ROAD BLOCK AND FEEL DISAPPOINTED IN YOURSELF

We have all been there. We have all planned and worked so hard to get one step closer to our goal, we are on a roll, killing it and then.... life happens.  We miss a day, we lose momentum, and we start going backwards. Only to be left feeling defeated and disappointed. We want to just give up because we have let ourselves down.  Just because we hit a road block and our momentum slows down or even comes to a screeching halt, doesn't mean we have to lose sight of our goals. It just means we have to re-evaluate and continue moving forward; even if it's in a different direction than what we originally had planned.  Our goals aren't going anywhere and just because it takes us longer or looks different than someone else's journey, doesn't mean we have failed! Success doesn't come without failures along the way.  Stop beating yourself up so badly, figure out a way to make it work for you, and just keep going! Quitting is not an option, but it's okay to hit pause... -XO- Stacy

20.9 [FEEL GOOD FRIDAY] BUY THE DAMN SHOES BABE! HOW TO STOP OVER THINKING DOING SOMETHING FOR YOURSELF ONCE AND AWHILE.

I know, it's so easy to feel guilty for wanting to purchase something we fall in love with for ourselves. It's so easy to buy for everyone else and the moment we want to buy for us, one of two things happen:  1. We buy that new purse or shoes and we go home and we try to find reasons why we need to take them back. We feel guilty and we want to find a reason to justify why we really feel like we needed that item.  OR 2. We don't buy the new purse or shoes and we go home and we think about it for the next couple of weeks. It was the most PERFECT item and you would've been so excited to use it all season, and you know you would! However, you let the guilt win and now you have non-buyers remorse; is that a thing? lol  Anyways, it's okay to splurge on yourself once and awhile. Yes, the needs of our family is important and of course we would never let them go without . If that's not the case, spoil yourself like you spoil others because you are just as important as they are and sometimes you need to tell yourself that!  -XO- Stacy

20.75 [FEEL GOOD FRIDAY] DOES IT SCARE YOU? IT MIGHT NOT BE A BAD THING TO TRY!

Doing something, anything, small big or otherwise to work toward your goal is progress!  When we feel passionate about our goals, sometimes it can feel unrealistic as if why even try because the likelihood of us getting there is so slim... WRONG!!! If it scares you, if it seems too big, if it's hard... it's probably worth it! While it doesn't happen overnight, it CAN happen. It just takes effort and belief that if you're willing to do the work, that big audacious goal can come true! Do something that scares you! See how you feel. What have you got to lose? If if failing that you're worried about, guess what, failure breeds success in the long run. Failure to me, is better than regret of never having tried.  Share what it is that you're striving for. 20.5 [FEEL GOOD FRIDAY] WHO'S READY FOR HAPPY HOUR?! I AM, ALWAYS!

Nothing welcomes the weekend quite like a delicious adult beverage am I right?! Plus, summer is so close I can taste it, so what better time to start collecting cocktail recipes?  Check out Pinterest or try a couple of my go-to favs (below) or stick to your usual; and let's get this weekend started!  I'd love to see your concoctions and even the non-alcoholic options for some kid friendly ideas.  Here are a couple ideas for your CRUNK CUP, YETI, or tumbler labeled "MOMMY JUICE" lol no judgment; I have one of each ;)  TEQUILA?! YES PLEASE:  - 1-2 shots of silver tequila - 1-2 fresh squeezed lime juice - H2O Pour tequila over ice, add lime juice, fill remainder of glass with water, stir; repeat! Uno Mas Porfavor?   WINE SPRITZER:  - Favorite wine; red or white (sangria would be good too!) - 1 can of Truly or White Claw Add wine to glass, top with your can of seltzer, sip away! 19.5 [FEEL GOOD FRIDAY] DARE TO DREAM!

Do you remember being a kid and thinking that the world was your oyster? Wishes really did come true, you really would have a fairy Godmother, and Prince Charming would one day whisk you away on his white horse. Life happens, we have experiences, failures, disappointments, and year after year our belief in that magic slowly fades away.  We may not live in a fairy tale, but that doesn't mean we can't still dream! Our dreams may look different as they did when we were that 4 year old little girl and we may have lost those feelings of make believe and that's okay; it's normal! That being said, we don't have to give up on our dreams, no matter how big our small just because we get older and life changes. That feeling of excitement can still be felt if you just take some time to dream!  What do you want to accomplish? What are somethings you used to want as a young girl that you could still have today? Your dream shouldn't die with your youth; they just don't happen like we used to think they did.W If we change our thinking from impossible to possible and we take each day to do something that helps us get one step closer; even the smallest of changes, can make a big difference and get you to that goal. And hey... if you shoot for the moon and miss, at least you land amongst the stars right?! What have you got to lose? As moms it seems like we never get enough time to just do what we want for a day. If we do, we usually feel guilty or find a way to fill it by doing something for someone else; right? Mark it on your calendar for the whole family to see and make an official day for YOU! Pick 1 or 2 or 12 days a year and WRITE THEM DOWN. This day or days is just for you to take a day and do whatever you want! Make sure to write it down, let the family know, and make it happen! No guilt, it's your day and you deserve it! -XO- Stacy
